We played Forest U23s today at Loughborough and a young side won 2-1 thanks to goals from Liam Cross and a Sam Hoskins penalty. Danny Hylton also missed an earlier penalty. Ryan Tomlinson the 16 year old youth teamer also played in the game.
The club also confirmed the arranged friendly with Celtic U23's due to be played next week has been cancelled. They are next in action on Friday - opponents still not named.

Josh Tomlinson got another go, which is good to see. If you look at the players who came in and made debuts at his age, Toney, Jacobs, Chuks etc., they tend to be ones that go on up the leagues, so will be interesting to see his development.
Liam Cross got an assist and goal, somewhat the forgotten man of last years youth intake. Will be interesting to see how he does rest of pre-season.
