Not great so far - positive is defensively look sound - no one holding the ball midfield or up front - need a better performance second from several players

Certainly is. Not helped by another very weak referee who seems to be blowing his whistle every time there's any kind of contact. Grimsby look well-organised though and a point might be a decent result. I think we look slightly the better side but without creating much. Appere looks off the pace and lacks the tenacious attitude of last season so far.

I don’t like singling out players after just 45 mins but Grimsby defence other than the one through ball down the middle have had no problem containing him so far - hat trick second half?
