Second home pre-season friendly of the week against championship side Luton Town managed by Nathan Jones.

It's a 1pm kick-off although some of the open day events planned for Sunday have been moved forward 24 hours because of the red warning for severe heat. I think events start at 10.30 for those interested.

A certain Danny Hylton is sure to get a good reception from the travelling Luton fans, who hopefully will bring more than the 480 that travelled to watch West Brom on Wednesday.

Not a penny more for cdnl/thomas so I'll wish the Cobblers well from the pub beer garden.
probably would've gone had it been played in Luton.

It’s just as well we’re still looking at bringing more in as we’re looking a bit thin today.

I'm missing this one after seeing the WBA game as I'm working, will be interested to see if the same high performers (Appere, Guthrie, Odimayo, McWilliams) carry on, or whether any different shines today.

Appere won’t as he has a knock.

Rocket man more in the game, better team performance today but they are not in same class as WBA. It’s very hot . Fox better too and Sowerby doing well! Hope 151, Saint and Mysterious fans are here? Still think Rocket man should have had a hat trick by now! Hylton doing ok!

Really good first half, should have been 2 up at half time, then we bring on Shaun for Sowerby and I’ve got to be honest Fox and Sowerby looked the better combination, Bowie put himself about and credit to the lad had a decent game, still very raw and not that quick BUT the lad reads the game well.
Odimayo will be our right back, he’s way better than McGowan, faster, better in the air etc, we need some pace out wide and definitely NOT super Sam, who was anonymous again when he came on.
All in all a much better performance against 2 x very good Loootun sides.

Agree re Odimayo. I think he has come in as a replacement rather than competition!

Will be interesting to see how it unfolds.

A good performance overall all with a few stand outs. Still early days.

Odimayo is more of a centre-half who can play right back. Harvey Lintott has been brought in to give competition in the right back/wing back position.
