The Tannoy/public announcement thingy used at Sixfields was a second hand one bought off Coventry 10 years ago.
At no time would anyone blame the current owners for putting their hands in their pockets and actually buying a new one  Grin Grin

And you have evidience of this? Sales invoices or delivery notes?

I was in the North Stand tonight and thought the PA system was very loud. IT did however have a wobble and buzzed horribly a couple of times.

Thought the same. Sat in the West last year and could barely hear it, but loud and clear last night in the North.

It use to be the best place to hear our tannoy was in the toilets! Now seems improved.

Much better than at Grimsby where it sounded as if the announcer had his hand over his mouth.

I couldn't work out if it was the PA system or just the fact he was from Grimsby  Grin Grin Grin

I’m sure they played the crowd noise through the PA system when they scored to make it sound louder.

There was a problem with the scanning again last night. Well there was in turnstile 9 & 10 in the West stand. The turnstile operator just let us through without really looking at the ticket and said the scanner has stopped working.

This needs sorting out it's very unprofessional.

I bought ticket online as an e-ticket and it scanned fine first time from my phone last night in the North Stand turnstile. They need reliability in their tech though.

This isn't anything new, it's been like it for donkey's years, but while we're moaning about the PA system the speakers in the middle of the West appear to be very poorly shielded and it interferes with the mobile data signal. I can look at stuff on my phone without issue while the game is in progress  but while they are broadcasting stuff over halftime it either kills the signal altogether or slows it to a crawl. It's not the end of the world, but it is a minor irritation when you want to have a look at the halftime scores!

Leave your phone at home, you will have a far better experience.

I assumed that was more to do with the number of people looking at their phones at half time. I never have a problem before kick off when there are less people there

It is. It’s the same at any sporting venue or concert. As soon as the breaks happen, the demand on the nearest mast slows up the transfer rate.

Same as trying to boil a kettle at the end of Strictly...  Cool

I'd rather scrub my balls with a cheese grater than watch Strictly or any "reality" TV.

Just use the remote control (not on your balls) to avoid having to undertaking such an unpleasant process.

Reality tv shows , based on real life/real time events like the one involving a once struggling football club like Peterborough United or even the popular Love Island series, are just for light entertainment, so to get so worked up as to disfigure your testicles with a cheese grater is a bit drastic.
probably says more about you.
