Swindon’s only loss in the league was the first game of the season however have lost all 3 cup games like ourselves. They’ve also received 4 red cards in all competitions this season.
If Hylton can manage 60 minutes I’m sure he will start.

So we make our trip to the home of the Magic Roundabout this weekend looking to erase memories of the 5-2 mauling on New Year's Day and four goals from the t**t that is Harry McKirdy.
Following the departure of former manager Ben Garner to Charlton in the summer, Swindon replaced him with Garner's assistant Scott Lindsey with a view to continuing the possession-based, attacking brand of football for which they became know last season (The Robins finished top scorers in the division last season with 77).
Lindsey oversaw a tricky start to the season with no wins in the first five competitive games including a 3-0 defeat at Harrogate on opening day but Swindon have started to get into their groove with three league wins on the bounce heading into Saturday's game (3-2 vs Sutton, 1-0 vs Doncaster, 2-1 vs Grimsby).
Former Leicester City youngster Jacob Wakeling leads Swindon's goalscoring charts with four while midfielder Ben Gladwin seems to be impressing Robins' fans in his fourth spell with the club and is certainly the lynchpin in the middle of the park helping the team tick over. Swindon will be without his fellow midfielder Saidou Khan this weekend though after his red card at Blundell Park last time out.
There are a few present links between the clubs with Ali Koiki, Akin Odimayo, Marc Richards and Colin Calderwood all having made appearances for Swindon in their illustrious careers.
The County Ground is not our happiest hunting ground with only two wins from our last 14 visits but let's hope we can get October underway with a statement victory! UTC!

Referee for this game is Alan Young who we last had in February for our 0-0 draw at Port Vale. Last season at Leyton Orient he took the teams off for half time on 45 minutes and failed to play the 4 minutes added time, after half time the teams lined up as they had in the first half and he then played the added 4 minutes. Then the teams changed ends to play the second half. As the Italian captain in 'allo 'allo used to say " what a mistaker to maker". In October 2020 KC accused him of a total lack of respect as after the Hull game KC had requested to talk to him which he had agreed to but he proceeded to get in his car and leave the ground without speaking to him. Young seems a bit card happy as in his 6 games he has issued 24 yellows and 5 reds but has so far not awarded any penalties. More on the game to follow.

How's about a match preview from a Robins perspective. What do they think of us currently? That would be interesting.

Well when I got a kicking there in 85, and from all the graffiti around Swindon's County Ground - 'NTFC die' and 'How's your White Elephant?' being two Banksy's I remember...I got the distinct feeling they didn't like us, if that helps with any insights!

I got a similar feeling, a few years back when after jumping off the coach, I went straight into that dodgy boozer in the car park. followed by old squeaky boots and umbrella himself. Definitely hostile, but I wasnt leaving, and Geema wouldnt leave on his own! Inside the ground he spent the whole game telling everyone how "we stood our ground". I do miss him sometimes. Also I am sure that Lee Geary came flying past us being chased on the way in. Also, the away end view is sh!te, and Farringdon has some sh!te pubs. Strange day out. Hello to any carrot crunchers reading this. Have you worked out how to provide a link yet?

Do you think I'll be alright if I just keep clear of everyone dressed as pink bears wearing a Swindon home kit?

I won't be escorting anyone! When I lived in Oxford, obviously never missed any of our games in Swindon. Little interest at all in navigating my way there this Saturday! I never planned to go Walsall (chose Leicester for original fixture) but as free on Tuesday, have been persuaded to go!

Ah well, that probably explains it, they have a false impression of us. All the soft lads from round our way used to drink in the Nelly, The Pioneer was too hard core for them.

Does anyone actually drink in the Pioneer? Despite growing up near there I've only ever been in once, and that was a few years back when I went in out of curiosity when I happened to be walking past. We were the only people in there. We had one drink and left because the landlord kept eying us suspiciously.

Thought I’d seen it was closing/closed? I used to live in Kingsley and like you went in once. Links View is a bit odd as it goes nowhere so unless you live up there it’s unlikely you would go by out your way to go in.

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet
