Not really too much of a defence but from the report it doesn’t seem to suggest he bet on any of his teams to lose in games he played? That could have made a difference in terms of potential fixing allegations.

I dont think anyone is suggesting any sort of match fixing but the authorities cant turn a blind eye to the betting. |

Unless you’re Harry Toffolo. A suspended ban and what is a token fine for a professional footballer is pretty much turning a blind eye. While I wouldn’t have expected the same as Toney as Ivan’s offences were were serious, maybe something even remotely in the same ball park. |
