A pity that his chances will be limited depending on Kane's fitness. I'm sure he'll get to the end of his career as one of these players who could have achieved a lot more at international level. The amount of forward options we have is crazy. Good for one of our own to get a cap and grab a goal. Pity pens don't count he's only ever missed a couple.

Well done Ivan - success build on hard work, talent and determination on his part - but there are fine margins on success, as a youth team player he was very close to not being retained, where the future for countless aspiring footballers is not so bright.

Man Utd might just be (or probably are) stupid enough to pay it. I aint. Anyways, your pension pot is big enough to cover that.

About the going rate.. 50k will be tied into appearances. Probably another 50k in goal/assist bonuses. That’s taking into accounts the whole lot being walloped down by 50% after tax and NI. I wouldn’t say no.. but it ain’t what it seems.

OK, he didn't score a fairytale winner, but one of our own played in a European Championship final. Hopefully inspiration for all our youngsters out there.
Well done Ivan.

I'd be very suprised if he comes back to the Prem so quick. I thought I read something a while ago about massive tax implications for players if they returned to the UK so soon after leaving. I'd also be suprised if Spurs and Chelsea could match the wages he's on in Saudi.
