Not quite the same is it!
Taking something another club did or said and ridiculing it. Yes I think its the same.

I'd find it funny if we'd actually submitted a formal complaint - but from all accounts we didn't, which makes the whole thing a bit weird from my perspective. In any case though, they're only doing it as it drives engagement from Rovers fans lapping it up. The social media admin probably has some targets to hit and pulls the NTFC card out to rescue the day - we should be flattered That said, I do hope our social media team have a little Canva design up their sleeves ready to press send on when they eventually get relegated

So the only common denominator is ridicule? One had no bearing on a season, career or future - in fact it was Artell banging on about a perfectly acceptable pitch as an excuse for losing! A classless jibe about missing out on promotion by the the most underhand of ways and all that would entail for fans, club, never mind the players is far from the fcuking same! Or are you for convenience sake, just to take some perceived moral high ground in an argument, saying anything goes...under the umbrella of 'bants'? Give your head a wobble...

I thought the whole point was about clubs and fans behaviour on social media and not the actual event that occurred. I think both are pretty pathetic as it also is when fans go straight to the opposition twitter and post things such as 'thanks for the 3 points'. Do you want to borrow a ladder?

It adds a bit of a spark to the fire for the next time we inevitably play each other. It must be manna from heaven for a club that has found itself playing second fiddle to the better and bigger Bristol club for years. A bit of light relief for them.
As for Barton.. His reputation has and always will reside in the gutter.

Fans having a jibe is one thing, however annoying - kinda comes with the territory of being a football fan. An official tweet from the club is a whole different kettle of fish - as I have alluded to several times here and other social media sites!

Rovers have comedy value, their manager is an abject excuse for a human being

I totally agree. But this is a club that hired Joey Barton. So I'm not sure they are too worried about right and wrong.

They didn't fancy a run in the FA Cup either...
