RIP - part of the first team I watched and a bit scary to see those players are well into their eighties

A colossus of a centre half, I well remember the goal against Tranmere in the FA Cup which meant we played Man Utd & Georgie Best.
 RIP Frank.

Frank would probably be centre back in my all-time Cobblers line-up. A Colossus at the back. RIP.

I remember that goal well. Out jumping all from a corner, level with the crossbar, and thumping a header just under the bar, right in front of the Hotel End, Frank became a hero! As already said: a colossal centre half. RIP Frank.

Signed from Peterborough and was surprised they let him go; particularly to us! A decent centre half for us and was a good servant of the Club. Those who remember Terry Branston will know who was the more effective player. It is always sad for me when these great club players pass away; memories come flooding back. Feel lucky to have seen both play.
