As always votes in after the match and before @2359 on Thursday

Spectacular saves helped keep the ball out of the net on Saturday against Tranmere so no surprise that Burge takes the POTM and gold position in this week's POTS competition.
The only other player to get votes this week was McWilliams.
This means both players move up the overall table with Burge moving into 2nd place behind the runaway leader Hoskins.

Tranmere Summary

Burge recieves 14 votes and scores 3 points
McWilliams receives 4 votes and scores 2 points

McWilliams for me. He's becoming a quality attacking midfielder. Some great runs and passes again and is becoming one of our players who can really open up the oppostion.

Sherring for me.

Several decent displays. Would have been Appere had he not wasted two good chances one of which he put over the bar. Took his goal well tho'.
Sherring* clinches it for dispossessing their forward in the area when through on goal.  Guthrie marshalled the defence admirably and was in truth the most deserving, imo of course.

At least thought it was Sherring and those around confirmed it was.

McWilliams, he was like a man possessed early in the second-half & we really started to struggle when he went off. Appéré the other standout.

I think the sponsors got it right - Appere was outstanding with his constant running when we had possession and his constant pressing when we didn't. How many times did he pinch the ball off someone? I was gutted for him when he ballooned his shot over because he looks short on confidence in front of goal, often looking to set someone up rather than have a go himself so to score with such aplomb right after such a glaring miss should do him the world of good.

I also thought McWilliams, Hoskins and Sherring were very good too. That challenge from Sherring  in the 78th minute where he raced back and got ahead of the pacy Sho-Silva to win the ball back was as important as either of the goals we scored.

Appere for me. I thought his strength, work rate and positioning were outstanding and he also scored a very good goal after missing a sitter. I also thought McWilliams was magnificent and would probably have given it to him had he not had to retire hurt.

Most difficult decision so far this season!
McWilliams, Sherring , or Appere???
All 3 deserve m.o.m.
Appere for his constant effort even when things don't go right for him.

McWilliams  would have given the vote to/ close run thing with Appere but too wasteful, which in another game would have cost  us...esp. the easier to score blast over ....good recovery with a much harder chance tho'
