Once again Brady needs to learn that our midfield becomes far too lightweight when he plays Pinnock in the centre.
This is particularly a problem today, given that Leonard and Fox are our only fit central midfielders and neither have the defensive nous or physicality of McWilliams and Sowerby.

Salford's second was a case in point: Watson was able to run unchallenged on the counter from just outside his own penalty area to our just outside our penalty area before slipping in his midfield colleague for the goal.

However, there's definitely a point for us here if we can get more control of the midfield. Hoskins looks sharp and Eppiah has shown tantalising glimpses of close control and menace. If Sowerby is at all fit I'd be tempted to bring him on for Pinnock ASAP so can get more of a grip centrally and then possibly throw Appere into the mix later on to add some extra muscle up front.

I think Sherring has really struggled today and at times this season. The pitch is not helping but he has been really hesitant at times which has caused us a lot of issues. Mcgowan has looked really slow trying to get back and think having a man less in central midfield is not helping either. Think Fox has played well but all in all not a great first half.
McGowan needs to lose some weight. He looks like Mr Blobby.

What a disgraceful challenge - if there had been VAR he’d be off. Crap refereeing yet again.

McGowan does look overweight. Where as Maxted looks clinically obese. What’s going on there 😀

I have no idea how Eppiah has run that off - his ankle must be made of elastic.

Nice to see the ref and linesman getting in on the act - both absolutely dreadful.

Is Maxted glued to his line?

Doesn’t even look like he’s a keeper.

I was just about to comment that he looks like a supporter who has been put in goal. If Burge is out for any length of time then we’re f**ked.
