Pitch inspection at 9.30am. Way too early, of course this early is likely to be colder. Think with the distance from Mansfield (time for travelling support) waiting till 11am would have been fine!
Completely agree, why 09:30, the club obviously want it postponed.

Not helpful! No mention of pitch inspection yesterday, left Home at 8am and just boarded the train at Horsham at a cost of £35

Hopefully a much fitter squad for the rearranged match!

I can't say I'm disappointed it will give us a chance to get a few players fit and to bolster the squad with one or two additions. Mind you I felt something similar when the Walsall away game was called off as we had loads of injuries then and then when the actual game came round we were just as badly off.

Saints game still on so far, must be a lot warmer down Jimmy's end, or have they got underground heating?

I would question the 09:30 pitch inspection, but we obviously have a lot of players still out, we probably pulled the frost covers back by the south car park.
If I was the club I’d put those frost covers in the skip, they should protect the pitch down to -4°c

No, they obviously try - without an agenda!

Not surprised at all. Having it at 11 wouldn’t have made an ounce of difference. I was walking around a five acre site yesterday. Half of it was still solid at 3pm..

There’s ice on parts of the lakes around Sixfields.

I’m also sure they did announce a planned pitch inspection for  today yesterday. But I might of imagined that 😂

If Carlisle and Salford both play and win it’ll add some incentive to pull our socks up. Two tough away games though.

Who inspected the pitch, Pete Walton?
Pete; Do you want the game off John?
John; Wouldn't mind mate.
Pete; No worries John, Bobs your uncle.
Allegedly

I’m sure most of the conspiracists know that. But to fit their agenda.. “It’s a pitch. Near our pitch” 🤪🤪🤪

I wonder if they'll consider doing the same as they did with Carlisle and re-arrange it this week. Supposed to be 8 degrees on Wednesday.

Given the injury list and illness I’d be amazed TBH.

Although, I can recall a few years back, an evening game being called off because of snow. Walked back down to Jimmies end, and not a flake in sight. The two lads walking the opposite direction, did not believe me.
To be fair though, a top european match was always going to get the go-ahead.
