Every game bar one off in league 2. They must all have dodgy covers. Grin I take back everything I implied.

After todays Stevenage 3-0 win against Leyton Orient these 2 are 13 and 15 points ahead of 4th place and have more than 2/3 of the points needed for automatic promotion. It is going to take a severe reversal in form for either to drop out of the top 3 although Orient have only 1 win and 1 goal in their last 6 games. So at the moment it looks like a fight for 3rd place.
Carlisle, Salford, Bradford and Swindon all play on Tuesday night but whatever the outcome of the results we will remain in 3rd place going into next Saturdays games.

Not sure if the BBC are correct but they have todays attendance at Birmingham as 1659.

16608 in the match report on the BCFC official site, perhaps 1659 was the visiting supporters?

On the subject of attendances, the 6,989 at Stevenage today (1382 O's) was not a bad turnout at all.

Thought the pitch near PAS was for me unplayable. No doubt Shoemender might have said it was fine!

Update on pitch 1 near PAS. Time circa 1,55pm. Would not take a stud and didn't look it had been played on at noon today. Temp tonight is forecast at -4.

I'm not surprised GPC, I would imagine Orient sold out their allocation, also this fixture came just after Stevenage's win at Villa in the FA Cup.

Easy train from Kings Cross to Stevenage. About 25 minutes. Barely enough time to savour the first can of the day. Best of luck finding somewhere salubrious to have your next drink though!

Resurrecting the original match thread..... The Stags visit Sixfields for this rearranged fixture on Tuesday night.

Mansfield are down in 8th position after they had the weekend off as a result of an early postponement of their game against League leaders Leyton Orient. They have 55 points but have up to three games in hand on some of the teams above. Just one defeat in their last eight games, that came at home with a surprise tonking by Salford a couple of weeks ago. Their last away defeat was at Walsall on New Years Day. They have had some decent away wins so far this season, including victories in their last three at Carlisle, Tranmere and Wimbledon. In total they have won nine of their 17 league games away from home.

Will Swan is their leading league goalscorer, the on loan Forest man has got nine to his name however he is ruled out for the rest of the season with injury. Danny Johnson has scored 16 goals this season, however 15 of those were for Walsall in a loan spell which ended in January.

Oliver Langford is down to be the man in the middle. He has dished out 94 yellow cards and one red in his 24 games this season. Langford has been used mainly in the Championship for the past few years, only sometimes dropping down to League Two but one of those came last season when he reffed our 1-0 home defeat by Bristol Rovers in March 2022, booking seven players.
