Newcastle have waited so long for a trophy.

Does anyone remember Eric Ross?

Part of the last Newcastle "Team" that last won a real trophy?

For anyone that does not know, Eric Ross was not only part of the last Newcastle team to win a major trophy, he also played for the Cobblers - No8 in the 2-8 defeat to Man Utd.

Such a sad end to his career....  searching for his contact lense in the mud, after having it knocked-out by an "aerial" challenge.  The days when a fore-arm fist to the head was regarded as a "healthy" part of the game.

Newcastle get talked up a lot. They have been rubbish on the pitch for years. It's their support that is decent. That said, It is a big place.

Yup.  Too true.

There was talk of Freddie Woodman coming to us years ago.  But, I understand he was slated on a scouting review.  Thank goodness he is now letting goals in in the Championship, instead of with us, eh?

Did you take one of the St.James Double-Deckers that night?
