I think that's rather harsh. It's a bit of an old style sitcom, which is in keeping with the era in which it is set.
Granted, I didn't think the second series was as good as the first, but it was an amiable enough watch.
Just been watching some old episodes of „One foot in the grave“ - witty, clever, well scripted and good actors” - all attributes totally lacking in that Carr nonsense- also the series, IMO tends to portray his parents as daft - and anyone who knows Graham knows that’s certainly not the case.
