This post and Drillings are absolutely spot on. As I said previously. The infrastructure is in place within the Trust. We don’t need a new supporters group.
Ditch the old guard. A combination of atrocious advice and poor decisions has rendered them unfit for purpose. Step down, let the new members take the reins, and get more fresh blood in.
In fairness Tel until the commitment to transparency is adhered to and provided in a completely open manner, we don’t know if it was particularly bad advice or decision making. It depends on what the desired outcome was, and that may be different dependant on each individual. Of course until this is cleared up the reputation of the organisation itself has been decimated. However that may be nothing more than a mere unfortunate but necessary consequence as part of an attempt to achieve a wider objective, at this point who knows?

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Why would anyone want to join a supporters club? Covid extinguished the final embers of a social model to human interaction. In space no-one can hear you cry.

Or indeed celebrate. However, ironically that rather depends if you are flying solo or have other people on the mission with you, and to some extent the missions objective?

I'm pretty sure that on the whole the board members who disagreed with the direction it was heading in, jumped ship (rightly so) once they got an idea they couldn't stop what was happening. Some sensible members might have remained, but to no avail. No matter how completely wrong it is. We will never know simply WHY??

Read the comments on this and decided to keep my powder dry - from my experience whist generally fuelled by good intentions organisations like this have quite a lot of politics, egos and entitlement amongst their ranks and a new set up would end up the same.
I’m no way meant as disrespectful but I think too many active members (and many of them put hours of their own time in) mistake their passion for actually having significant broader influence on the running of the club - the old Supporters Club (at 195 Abington Avenue) had the right idea - raffles, coaches and the odd event - plus a good relationship with the football club‘s board of directors. Life was so much simpler!

It certainly was Peter, but the Trust was set-up not as a supporters club but to basically keep a close eye on the owners. Today football club owners have control of the media, this is very powerful to help them with their agenda
