Alexander Armstrong, as previously mentioned Jamie Oliver, celebrity chefs in general, Nick Knowles, breakfast TV presenters, weather reporters (just look out the front door).

I think you've summed it up there.
I'm with you there on Alexander Armstrong, the very definition of smugness.

Weather reporter Alex Beresford, He's got bags of chips on each shoulder.

So presumably your view would be the same of the suffragettes so  de facto woman should have never have got the vote or even a degree of equality. In many respect their tactics were considerably more violent and disruptive than the JSO group.

It’s interesting when you were in your anti Cardozo crusade (turned out to be correct) and indeed the same for KT/DB (awaiting result) I recall one of your cohorts making the quote “for evil to thrive good men simply have to do nothing” - and receiving widespread praise from your cohorts.

Whatever you choose to believe about the climate or JSO it is an indisputable fact we are raping the planet using more of the planets resources than we did in the previously millennium at a frightening exponential rate as we become more selfish, more materialistic and more greedy - I don’t know the answer but I’m fairly sure the selfish who condemn legal protest, deny scientific fact, couple with perpetuating faux conspiracy theories are leading us to extinction.

Good post Peter. We all know we are causing immeasurable harm to the planet. We all know we need to do a lot more than we are doing. Governments don't seem to be doing a lot and when certain individuals or groups try to make a stand they are vilified, ridiculed and prosecuted. Whether they're going the right way about it is debatable but at least they're trying.

Never get stuck behind the Welland Valley cycle club, a gaggle of mostly middle aged men who will deliberately block roads by riding 5-10 abreast. They infest the roads around Market Harborough and villages. They enjoy filming their confrontations and post them on the net, and it's always the motorists fault!

The plod are happily issuing tickets from that footage, so keep your distance.
They should definitely choose the roads they use more wisely.

Can I add Jeremy Vine to the list?

Whatever Manny thinks I’m in on this one. I can’t reach the remote quick enough, whether that’s Radio 2 or the depressing Egg heads. He would have been a good Harry Enfield character.

I used to work in Sibbertoft, I retired last year fortunately. I did get stuck behind them once on Longhold rd but passed them at the Clipston turn. Arrogant sh1ts

And you try and share a cycle lane in your car, and see what happens.
Try standing in a cycle lane in Amsterdam without risking a volley of abuse, or crossing the road at the junction of King William St and Cannon St in London. The lycra clad warriers do not obey red lights there. And any pavement appears to be OK to use. As you can guess, I do not like the get out of my fcukin way attitude. And they have all got Jeremy Vine in their w@nkbank. Tossers.

Manny have you hijacked Tabby's account?

Thats a bit harsh on me. I do actually know Mannys true ID, but thats our little secret.
My loathing of cyclists however, knows no bounds. They are all arrogant gobsh1tes who feel that they are superior to other road users. The ones that like to tell you things like: its not called road tax, its called road fund licence. And then contravene all traffic regulations. Cos they dont apply to them. It aint gonna happen, but I would love to see some form of registration ID on pushbikes. That would shut the fukcers up. In the meantime, I would absolutely hate to meet a vegan cyclist. Worst of both worlds.

Everyone will be a vegan cyclist (or electric car driver) in two generations time, so I reckon you were born just in time.

my main concern is how the fukc will i be able to watch Cobblers hoof under 6ft of water

Not all though. I spend a small fortune on not using any single use plastic. Fussy deodorant, the Smol range, got them all. The problem being that without knowing the carbon footprint of anything you buy (single use or otherwise) it’s hard to know what actually is environmentally friendly. e.g. as soon as my bleach free, plastic free, tea bags arrive on my Amazon subscription it probably defeats the object. Especially when I see how the guy hammers his diesel van and take the OTT packaging out to the bin.
I’m sure it’s all a money maker that lets us feel as though we’re doing our bit.

Absolutely true and I think there are contradictions everywhere- nonetheless I think irrespective of that if we all consume just a little bit less, are less motivated by having “things” it’s an attitudinal step in the right direction - danger of getting into old git territory here but when I was a kid we had a 12” Black & White TV - now it seems you have to have a huge one in every room and of course it’s embarrassing to admit you have anything less than 60” - is that really necessary?

I much preferred Johnny Morris who gave animals names and funny voices.

If Packham can’t be bothered to make an effort, I can’t be bothered to listen to his hippy s***e.

I see Stammer is modelling himself on Tony Blair 😂
Captain Hindsight really doesn’t have a clue 😎
I see Tory housekeeping has reduced inflation and we won’t suffer anymore interest rate increases by that obnoxious leftist Andrew Bailey.
