As always votes in after the match and before 2359 Thursday

A new season and some new names in the POTS for the first two games.  Leonard is the early leader.

Stevenage

Half a dozen names were put forward for POTM for the wet Stevenage tie with new striker Simpson taking most of them and was easily the POTM, other point scorers here were Leonard, Sherring & Sowerby whilst Brough and Burge failed to score enough votes to trouble the leaderboard.

Summary
Simpson received 15 votes and scored 3 points
Leonard, Sherring & Sowerby received 2 votes each and score 2 points
Brough & Burge received 1 vote but faile to score

Swansea

In contrast only a small amount of votes was received for the cup tie at Swansea which reflects on it being a long Tuesday evening trip and no I-follow coverage.
It was Leonard however that was the voted POTM with new goalkeeper Thompson securing a place on the leaderboard.

Summary
Leonard received 3 votes and scores 3 points
Thompson received 2 votes and scores 2 points

There, I knew I was right to persuade him to come back again.

Leonard or Sowerby, but I'll go with Jack Sowerby...

Sowerby with a mention for Leonard and Thompson. Looks good for a 19yr old.

Leonard, Sowerby, hompson all had fine games to a certain extent. TBH I thought that Leonard was the best half back on the field last Saturday but IMO Sowerby was the best Northampton owned midfielder on the Pitch. Having unintentionally confused some  with that vague opinion would suggest that Hoskins goal confounded his few critics and still think the poor Wigan Keeper never saw it.
