But you were never voted Supporter of the the Year so it doesn’t count.  Tongue

You can definitely have Wind up Merchant of the Year. I think that’d take pride of place.  Grin
I agree on the telly watching, you get a far better insight into what is actually going on.

I do chuckle every time someone says "That goals counts" etc. Seems I do have a certain knack but the downside is, people are always looking for a hidden meaning, even when there isn't one.

As for Ifollow, it's getting better and better. I actually thought Oglethorpe would be better using medium for commentary. He goes on and on about something, speculating whether it was penalty, offside, dive, whatever, when those of us who watch on Ifollow already know the truth.

While on the subject of Oglethorpe, why does he keep updating us on the scores in League 2? Is anybody really interested enough to need these updates, surely the end result is enough.

Marvo I really don't give a toss if you believe me, obviously my mistake in thinking another poster can have a different view to God and not have it belittled. Obviously there is no point in debating anything with somebody who is so invested in their own opinion so as not to consider others.

Ifollow does give a better view but I prefer the match day experience and to see the highlights when shown. I could have stayed at home and watched the Tranmere game on Sky but travelled to the game knowing that seated behind the goal gives a limited view of proceedings at the far end but the experience of the day was well worth it. I then watched the Sky recording the next day.

As for Tim Oglethorpe many times opposing supporters have said how much better his coverage of the match is than their own coverage. Most people will also welcome the updates of scores from other matches as proven by the number of supporters following them on their 'phones at the game.

I believe my first game was in 1962 (61 years ago) when we entertained QPR with a certain Frank Large in their team and cannot come close to estimating my total spend over those years.

I'll tell you what I'll concede. Stevenage might not have been our easiest fixture but it would certainly rank as one of the easiest. Stevenage odds were very similar to ours pre-season.

As for going to the big games like Tranmere, I care too much. Went to Barrow and was heartbroken, didn't want to risk putting myself through all that again. Watching on Ifollow I can enjoy the game but if necessary switch off if it becomes to much to bear.

I'm not going to get into a pissing competition with you on who has spent the most, I guess we're both spent a pretty penny. How come I don't know you from the days when we only had a handful of supporters at games? (or perhaps I do) It's just sad that when you make the decision to stop going for whatever reason suddenly you are worthless, even the kid who went to his first match Tuesday night is considered a better fan than you.
