There are probably parts of the Dordogne in France where it is similar. And in parts of Spain.

It's only 25% in my house, but we seem to get on okay. Most of the time anyway. Things are often a bit tense in relegation seasons, but other than that we cope.

My new hobby is genealogy since purchasing a DNA test.
On my mothers side I have managed to go back 9 generations to the 1600's. A trail of Nether Heyford, Great Brington, Harpole, Cogenhoe and multiple surnames, one of which Harpole goes back to Ireland. 3 generations back on her fathers side to Scotland. My dad's mum side is totally Bugbrooke based and dad's side to Wales.
There is only one other family in the UK with my mum's maiden name but hundreds in the US, with known origins back to France, so expecting something there.

Ultimately we are all mongrels and no-one will remember us in 100 years.

Yes, I think it does. Not necessarily because of the indication of black or white. More because it just so happens that the vast majority of the population explosion has been from ethnic backgrounds and immigration. The impact on services and infrastructure has been catastrophic, and unsustainable. The people who promote the values of a welfare state and free healthcare at the point of delivery, are deluded if they cannot see an imminent collapse. We are already trying to drive a car on one wheel. Closing our borders, whilst unpalatable, is no longer an uncharitable act for those who wish to enter the country. It is an act of salvation for those who already live here. Regardless of your colour or ethnicity. A broad based analysis of the provision in public services and healthcare is hugely overdue. This cannot be effective if conducted until we can achieve some breathing space and actually audit what we have.

Do you think that there should be restrictions on how many children people should be allowed, China style? There is no doubt that there are too many people in the world. Should we in the UK show leadership and introduce laws about how many children people can have or would that be considered a step too far?

I would support a cap on child benefit and other benefits related to having children. It is a bugbear that 'some' people think they can pop kids out and then seem to relinquish accountability for actually raising them. I'd also seriously look at maternity pay to take the burden off of employers.
Parenting "it's the hardest job in the world"...."Errr, excuse me, it's not a job!" 
I guess the first step is massive education in why having children will effectively destroy your life. 
 
If that involves restricting the number of children via a gene pool selection process or means testing I'm all for it! They don't even make Jeremy Kyle anymore so what are they are going to do when they grow up? Sadly, it's the poor kids that suffer so the state have to set in to support them.
Not too different to dog breeding, I'm anti that too....but it is harder to sell children in this country.

Europe is predicted to loose population over the next 50 years, white Europeans are reproducing at a rate of 1.4 which is on a downward trend over time.
A country with a reproduction rate lower than 1.7 will eventually loose its culture and identity.
As Bin Laden said, we don’t need to go to war with the west we will breed out the non believers.
