Is the new head scout a relative of GJ, or is it just a happy coincidence.  Grin

Another signing from the Posh.  Pete is Gary's brother and has followed him around as his scout.

I read on another forum that he usually registers and posts on the forum of the club he is working at.

Where are you Peter? Come out, come out wherever you are.

Great news, he can definitely pick a gem or two out, welcome aboard Peter!

Marvo, this is the question i requested to be asking at the open forum a few weeks back, if there were any plans to appoint Peter his brother, doesnt any of this ring a bell to you, or was you too busy pointing your nose up to the sky?  Kiss

http://www.teamtalk.com/northampton-town/6839343/Johnson-Brother-will-be-busy

Boss Gary Johnson believes the appointment of his brother as Northampton's new chief scout will ensure a busy summer.

Johnson has made six signings since replacing Ian Sampson at the start of March and is expected to bring in a host of new players to Sixfields as he prepares for his first full season in charge.

He has brought in brother Peter Johnson to bolster his scouting network and believes their experience of working together will help build a strong squad for League Two.

Gary Johnson said: "I have worked with Peter for a number of years.

"He was with me at both Bristol City and Peterborough United and he knows what I am looking for in a player and that is important.

"Having worked together for many years we have an excellent understanding and Peter has a very good network of both players and contacts and that is very important for any club to have."

It is interesting on the official site, that there in no mention that he is GJ's brother
