Good player, I remember him vividly for Wimbledon against us.
I would have been very. Very happy with him signing, punt or not

Good player previously but his character has definitely been called into question in the past. He has been linked to a few teams who it appears decided against taking him on (including moneybags Wrexham) so clearly there is a reason for that. I guess Wycombe were desperate as 2 of their forwards have just had season ending injuries.
I would rather us sign a more physical presence up top if possible. Lyle Taylor was someone who has fantastic speed, but after so long out and at 34 can that still be relied upon, im not sure.

We've already taken punts on players such as BAS, Eppiah, DWP, Hylton and Simpson, who all had the potential to be good signings. As we are still paying the last two there is no way we could consider taking a chance on someone like Taylor, good as he may be.

Can someone please confirm the previous rumour...have we signed Leshabela, or not? If we have why hasn't it been confirmed? Is he still injured? Was he there yesterday?
All very odd in my opinion.

Probably both. Wonder when we'll see him. Not holding my breath.

Don't know why we need him - Simpson is immense!*
* More in relation to size than performance.

More of the former. There are a few more details but I’m hesitant to divulge in public, so apologies for being evasive.

So, yet again, we've knowingly signed a player who's already injured!? Just like Eppiah the second time & Harrop (who's contract we actually extended even though he never played for us during his initial short term contract!) Absolutely bizarre if true...

I think someone should just take this city of Peterborough and just... just flush it down the f***in' toilet

This is my worry with JB come January I’d be stunned if calderwood didn’t try to take Leonard to Southampton and I’m sorry I have zero faith in John and his transfer team in getting the right players in. This is especially true in the forward department. IF the board actually decide to invest in keeping the team in league one can someone pick the strikers on johns behalf and lock him in a broom cupboard until the window is shut. They can also lock him in there when we have any cup games ….

So you're worried about us losing a player Brady brought in but then also don't trust him to replace him. Right OK. You never goes know what goes on behind the scenes with regards to budgets, availability, targets etc. Clearly Simpson hasn't worked out but I think most were optimistic when he was brought in, it just hasn't worked out. The reality is most signings don't, it's always a gamble, even those with proven track-records. (Andy Kirk, Shaun Harrod, Jake Robinson, Leon Constantine....) It's very unlikely we're going to be able to secure a top striker in January - anyone good is going to be under lock and key unless there's a huge bid. All we can do is take a punt on another loanee from a big club who either wasn't available in the summer, or isn't getting a chance at their current club.

Gary Bowyer mentioned last night that he tried to sign McGowan when he was at Salford, but chose Northampton instead. Just found that interesting considering he is from the North West area.
