I agree with this (maybe not the giving up) and would take something not to be downhearted after recent weeks. Will definitely be a totally different landscape should we win a couple. The controversial view that whilst everyone will deny wanting us to fail, some absolutely revel in it when we do. It all comes down to egos and being proved ‘right’ whatever that is. That could easily translate into actually wanting us to lose. They don’t like that. That’s more prevalent on the FB. On the flip side you get the polar opposite with the likes of Mark Kennedy who can polish the dirtiest turd. I’m sure he’s a happier person than most. Which tells you the better side of the fence to be in life!

Well this is a bit weird, I'm actually "Wrong" at the moment because I predicted we would do better than we are.
As for being downhearted, it's a game of football, there are far more important things to get downhearted about. I suppose I'm lucky in that respect, the days of a Cobblers defeat spoiling my week have long since passed.

I’ll stick my neck out and say you’ll be more right than wrong soon. Something will click and we’re not far off. I’m hopeful of keeping the management team together long enough to being in the position of utilising the deadwood money a little better….not forgetting they signed them. I think the impact of losing is an age/experience thing. It’s not like missing a short putt on the 18th. Other than the odd really unlucky/unjust loss we’re probably immune to any poor results by now.

Mr Kennedy always has been a happy fella. And as he now works from home in the Canary isles, he has even more reason to be. Not sure that I would want to move to an active volcanic zone though.

Don't see how he can work from home. Lincoln wouldn't put up with that.

Interesting though Marvo's game by game managerial stats are, I will prefer to judge how well JB and the team are doing once we've played our fair share of bottom half sides in League 1. If we're still losing to the likes of Fleetwood, Blackpool, Burton and Shrewsbury that's when I'll start to really worry. It's clear we're not going to set this division alight, but I think we'll do OK against enough of the lesser teams. It's certainly too early to be talking of a relegation fight, although of course, it may well become one.

All that is well and good but the FACT remains that after 8 games in League 1 Brady has the worst of all the managers you mention. How's the table looking after 9 Marvo?

Just to add on to this thread, Chelsea's U21's have been thumped 5-0 at Oxford tonight, a result which means we can not progress from the group stage whatever the result of our final game at MK Dons in a fortnight, the third consecutive season we have been eliminated at the group stage.
