And yet another thread gets hijacked by the redevelopment. When was the last time that Sixfields sold out completely, every single seat available in the ground bought or occupied by someone's Bum?

This season, Boro at home, there were about a 100 empty in the away end, don’t think we can control that.

Why would I do that? Shouldn’t that be the leaseholders? I have done more stadium deals all over the world than you’ve had hot dinners FACT.

The only time I can recall Sixfields being completely sold out, not a seat left in the house, was Man City! And how many years ago was that?

P*sh was sold out, home and away. If there were empty seats it was because people didn’t show up. We operated a waiting list.

Right, but they’re using the land as collateral. Maybe that’s why they couldn’t unconditionally complete the stand prior to acquiring the land, couldn’t raise the finance. The possibilities are endless. We had a golden opportunity with a local authority willing and able to help the club circumnavigate this whole financial brick wall, and that was taken away from us. Be it mismanagement or something more sinister if people want to vent their frustration I would be looking there. Although given Sixfields was totally inadequate from the get go the local authority route doesn’t seem to be without its own risks.
It was. I recall being shown where my seat was going to be for the first game. I was so excited to see our new home. Then a guy behind me said, well this stadium shows lack of ambition, forever a lower league side. I thought at the time, what does he know and anyway the point had been made time and time again that the stadium had been built with the sole intention that everything was in place to expand when needed. Would be simple. I beginning to think that should have been written on the side of a bus.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!
We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

To counter that though there were about 100 standing on the steps and just generally standing down at the front of the stand towards the West stand.

So I wasn’t the only one stood on the hill when they were building it thinking this is a bit shít? Anyway, back on track what are people’s thoughts regarding getting bums on seats. Should it be maximum seats with a fanzone below? Alternatively is corporate boxes with multi-purpose function facilities the way forward. People moan about our matchday experience, but a really interesting stat for me would be what the average spend per head on matchdays excluding ticket sales is? How does that compare to other clubs, and who are the best performers per head in the division and why? More importantly, what average profit do they turn per head? What are they doing that we are not and can this be addressed in full or in part by the stand? We don’t need anymore guessing, I can guess. At least if you find this stuff out you have half a chance of influencing things in the right way. In fairness perhaps the owners know this already, but it’s not unreasonable to ask for justification regarding any design proposals. For once if some were to stop using every piece of information and act, as a stick to beat the owners over the head with, and tried to work with them a bit we might get somewhere. Its possible that the owners may just go through the motions a bit, and throw the stand up as a means to an end. Perhaps there is a provable way of building a more financially beneficial stand for the same money? The problem at the moment is that to a man (sorry, person) everyone is demanding that the stand is finished. Beyond that everyone seems to be flying blind with no idea what to do and why. Personally I think the stand will get finished but there’s a possibility it will end up being Sixfields MK2, a bit shít with the supporters wondering why they bothered. The club is probably about to get the biggest windfall in its history and it’s going to be blown on something possibly without thought or care if it’s the most effective thing to do. Sorry if this bores the pants off people but it would be a far more productive way of doing things instead of going round in circles kicking each other up the arse while we’re at it. It’s all out there if people are prepared to look and ask.

You probably wont like this but that’s effectively what Duston has been saying. Using the windfall in the most productive way. There’s an old Chinese saying “Man stand for long time with mouth open before roast duck fly in”….which in business means that you’ll never save yourself to success by doing nothing. Speculate to accumulate etc. The sooner this plays out, the sooner we’ll see if we can attract owners who fancy a go at some fantasy football…or get more of the same. The land has somehow become a poisoned chalice, along with the East stand which was Cardoza’s doing.

With respect Dav he's done nothing of the sort. He's demanded they spend 4 million on the stand with no thought or care to a single design standard whilst simultaneously doing everything in his power to drive the owners out of the club. It has nothing to do with what I like or don't like, its just bòllocks.

The "windfall" doesn't exist. The notion that the land is in anyway enabling money, left the room with the Cardozas. As far as I am reading the situation, there is nothing more than a gentleman's agreement that the current owners will finish the East stand. Past that, nothing more is expected. Any designs that supporters have on further redevelopment, or a rise in the playing budget, or indeed an improvement on infrastructure beyond the East stand, is purely conjecture and should be taken with a pinch of salt. I think we have to be realistic in terms of the average supporters view, comparative to that of the owners. A lot of the support views the outcome of the JR as a green light for wholesale investment in the club. I'm not privy to the owners view. But I would imagine it varies significantly from that perspective. I'm sure they are looking at recouping what THEY see as their losses first. And please don't let that set off another debate on what they have actually lost, or gained. I'm merely stating that they believe they have invested heavily into the club. And that's really all that matters. Everybody knows every morsal of information that is out their. So lets try to concentrate, together, on ensuring that the least we get, it what we was promised. Marvo... Can you please start to put your bums on seat data in the statistics section. Then these posts, mine included, can reside where they belong.
