I was interested in this article that my nephew, who lives in Stoke, told me about:
http://www.thisisstaffordshire.co.uk/news/Stoke-fans-given-163-185k-police/article-2350136-detail/article.htmlWhen we last played at Peterborough, I made the mistake of going by coach; all the coaches were "detained" some for nearly two hours at the services on the A1. I've always been of the view that it and other instances (Millwall away) were illegal. I've also questioned whether the so-called banning orders on England fans would withstand a legal challenge. Confiscating passports of UK citizens who've never been convicted of anything is in my opinion a breach of EU human rights legislation and if applied to Muslim clerics would be summarily thrown out by even the most simpleton of judges. I'd love to see the FSF challenge it in a test case.
