I don't necessarily agree with the calls for additional strikers and also don't agree with Claritys suggestion that we have an overbalanced defence. When the season started Kioki and Haynes were injured and have only just returned. Brough was signed as cover for Kioki but can also play in the back three or four. No doubt there are others too. Further more we have a (talisman) centre half in Guthrie who is now apparently injury prone; resulting in current abysmal form as it did in tail end of 2023 season. So we may need to have an excellent replacement. True we have Monthe who can also play in the back three along with Brough but as stand in players they are fine but they are no Guthrie, IMO we need to concentrate in signing more flair players who can add better service in the final third. Who would be a Manager?
I do think we have an overbalanced defence, but I don't think Brady is entirely to blame for an unbalanced squad. The transfer window was very complicated in the Summer as we kept missing out on targets due to lack of budget. JB brought Brough in at a time when it looked like Koiki was leaving. There were also rumours that he was traying to offload McGowan. I'd guess that any money that could have been freed up by those moves would have been spent on an attacker/striker. So getting a well balanced squad may also be down to budget, because you can't afford what you want until you sell in most cases, so if you can't sell, you don't get what you want or have to look for the cheap options.

18th biggest budget in the league. Somethings gone wrong if we’re one of those in the bottom 4 come the end of the season.
Imagine we finished 21st. That couldn't be classed as going very wrong if your budget is 18th. It's only 3 places off the budget. The point is that we need to overperform to avoid flirting with relegation.

A. £2.3m B. £2.2m C. £2.1m E. £2m An example of a ‘bottom 4’ at our level. Team B have players costing £500k a year injured for most of the season. Team E has a player on £70k a season scoring for fun, comfortably mid table Team C has a great up and coming manager, develops fantastic team spirit and wins the league. Team A have a small squad of big time Charlies, get through three terrible managers and get relegated. The actual budget doesn’t tell half the story.

Madness from some of our supporters. Always believe you are entitled to voice your opinion on how the team should play, what we need to strengthen etc…
At the beginning of this season. I think it’s fair to say we would all settle 16-18th. We are 1 win off 16th, with a game in hand over a couple of teams. To sack someone for just being short of the reasonable expectation would be utterly madness.

Well in fairness and I know you all like to act like a lynch mob but there's 9 pages on this thread, just how many people were saying he should be sacked? One? Maybe two? You all need to get some perspective. How many people were there today? Well over 6,000? I think some of you just like to rant and rave over nothing. Now if there had been a concerted campaign, well, that might be different.

It's all about balance.

Brady did very well yesterday with the changes and alteration to style. The last few games have been woeful but this is a really good sign that he can adapt as a manger. I was impressed and pleased.

So is he still currently out or back in? Sorry for asking, but I can never seem to judge the mood.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

It was interesting having Brady behind us for the game yesterday and to see how passionate he is
Also which players he was very critical of 3 platers in particular

I like Willis but thought he put a fair few balls astray yesterday and dithered a couple of times. Not sure Monthe was on the pitch long enough to be too critical.

He did dither on the ball at the end of the game which gave some on here kittens or worse. He generally seems to recover from those moments; not always for those of the nervous disposition. Got a good attitude and I like him!

4 pts above the relegation zone, with Blackpool and Pompey next I don’t think so!
