I'm not near being in the Brady out camp yet, but he does need to take stock of where we are and make some changes, and stop with some experiments that clearly aren't going to go anywhere (Pinnock in the middle, Brough at CB).
The more worrying aspect is that last year these players looked like they'd run through a brick wall through him. For whatever reason, whether it's tactical or not, they now look like they've run out of steam and ran out of ideas.
Brady deserves some support during a rough patch, that said, you can't keep having your side make the same mistakes repeatedly. How many games is that now where we must have let the first shot in?
I hope Appere coming back is going to lift the intensity of the play, and if not the results, at least get the performances back on track a bit.

Delete this thread ffs! Wouldn’t be surprised if JB reads this forum, he needs everyone behind him and the team. We’re in a s*** position so rally round! He certainly deserves some time.
This is a NTFC unofficial message board, not the Brady fan club. Ask Sam Hoskins and Reece Simpson what it's like.

It will be a depressing list. Chris Wilder or I’m not interested.
Get Wilder in as assistant. It's no weirder than having Calderwood in that job.

What about Alan Knill, surely a better fit until Wilder gets a job and takes him with him.

We are in need of an assistant manager so why not kill two birds with one stone and bring in someone like Troy Deeney to do the job and score a few goals whilst he's at it. Like most others have said, at this time the best option would be to help/support Brady after the last 2 plus years and look at ways where he can be helped do his job more successfully. We are on a slippery slope now, and the facts are he and the team are under some heavy pressure to start delivering positive results once more. Its somewhat ironic that since we moved into the new 'state of the ar't training facilities that performances have massively dipped. Perhaps we need to go back to basics and get them running around Abington Park again!

The owners have made it clear they were moving away from the manager merry-go-round. Their experience of that has been horrendous, so I can’t see them diving straight back in. Whatever people’s opinion this was always going to happen at some point during Brady’s appointment, because it has with every manager in our history unless they’ve been poached by another club. So the decision about what to do when it does has already been made, and if they were to relieve him of his duties then nothing will have changed at all. That philosophy was arrived at for times like these, not for when they are successful. His first full season we should have been promoted, his second we were, and now after a poor run of 5 games he’s instantly become a bad manager and we’ll revert to the same old pattern? Here’s a stat, when we have success and the manager changes it takes 3 goes minimum to find another who is successful. Brady is going nowhere, and neither should he.

I'll judge JB on the last 2 years NOT the last 2 games!
He is a good enough manager to manoeuvre us through the current poor run.
Hopefully in a few weeks our team will be
Burge,
Odimayo, Sherring, Guthrie, Brough,
Sowerby, McWilliams, Leonard, Hondermark,
Hoskins, Appere
Do the armchair expert managers think that fit team would keep us in League 1?
(And obviously we MUST sign 2 strikers on January 1!)

I recall Anglia TV doing a piece on it with "You're in the army now" playing in the background. It worked though didn't it. At least that season.

It’s unbelievable, literally last month everyone was terrified Brady was going to get poached. Now a few weeks later some are suggesting we kick him out of the door? If/when Brady turns this around don’t moan if he moves on when he gets another offer. The next time one of you lot complains about loyalty, don’t.

I certainly think this is where we find out whether JB has the ability and character to cope with being a league one manager. I believe he has but he needs his staff including whoever the new assistant will be to get around him and support as much as they can. It's the first time I've been worried about him since he's been manager. He's sounded disappointed or frustrated at times in the past but he sounded like he wasn't sure what to do after today. A couple of worrying signs in his post match interview. Frankly I just wanted to give the guy a hug and remind him what he has done for NTFC so far and how he achieved it. I know a lot what people are saying is kneejerk and I don't blame anyone but it's totally wrong to say he should go. I agree it can't go on forever but we've got to learn the lessons from the past and support him as long as we can. I'm praying we can get something out the next two games!

Years ago we had a striker crisis, I cant recall who the manager was but he stuck the centre half up front as a target man. Farmer I think his name was. He scored two in his first game, then a couple more in the next 3 or 4. Why don't we try something like that? There was always somebody in the team who though they could be turned into a striker given the chance.

Lets be honest its not just tge last 2 games is it? Had we been 4/5 nil down half time at Bolton it would have been fair, Bristol Rovers we were dreadful against a very average team, the derby demolition, then today, outplayed, outfought and outthought by a very average team in the keague below us. The alarm bells are on full tilt and we will be relegated unless we change something. Brady has spunked a large proportion of our wage budget on hylton and simpson, bithhave been major flops. Yes he gasnt been back properly, but what he has bought has been lg 2 at best, given contact extension to lg 2 players and there is no fight or passion, nothing from the players suggesting they back him. Sonething must change and very quickly I'll judge JB on the last 2 years NOT the last 2 games!

I honestly don't think they're even looking for an assistant...just hoping Sammo can fill the gap left by CC!...perhaps ntfclad can clarify
Is at a coincidence that the last 2 performances since CC left have been nothing short embarrassing...
I can't see the results picking up anytime soon but don't think JB will be sacked after listening to KT the other night...
I do think he'll end up walking though...
He sounded a broken man after today with no idea how to fix it!
Obviously, I hope JB somehow turns this form around but L1 is relentless...
Does make you wonder if there is any point in ever getting promoted as it's groundhog day every bloody time!

Nah, but its nice to have a change of grounds every now and again, and also to have a few upbeat months followed by deranged disappointment. Anyway, forget the last few weeks and we've been ok this season. 2 wins and we'll all feel better again.
