I’ll have a wild stab in the dark…….money?

More likely we couldn't guarantee regular playing time.

Possibly it’s a shame, fingers crossed Sowerby or McWilliams are back soon.

Could have sworn that I said that a couple of posts ago. But hey-ho moving on.

Thought the whole league 1 January transfer window was pretty underwhelming. Other than Bolton signing Collins from Bristol Rovers and they had to pay pretty much a million for him, I didn’t notice that many quality signings let alone the kind of marquee incoming likely to really push a team forward.

A former Bingley Juniors player (Alfie Harrison) lining up for City there. Only just 18, but regularly trains with the first team. Free scoring midfielder usually, but obviously not in that game. Blonde haired lad on the right of the first photo.

My £5 says he will play for England if he doesn't get a nasty injury.

Not Cobblers related, but young Alfie (18) mentioned above has moved to Newcastle for £3.5 million. Not a League game to his name.  When he was 9 years old he moved from Blackburn to City for a six figure sum. Not a bad bit of business for City, even when you take off wages, school fees and family relocation costs. However now, he wants a better route to first team football, which he believes he will get in black and white.

How the other half live!

Moxon to Pompey is a cracking signing imo

Dominic Gape signs deal until the end of the season. Defensive midfielder formerly of Wycombe Wanderers.

Good to see Sherring back in the squad, and Mr Fox, although Hondermark in the DM role worries me a bit.

Hopefully Gape is fully fit as Hondermarc is a better am than a dm in my opinion

Sounds like you are a prime candidate for the conscription that Manny was advocating elsewhere on the site. A bit of national service facing the Russians and you would soon realise that running around on a football pitch in the south of England for a few minutes is quite a breeze in reality. I think you have just self identified as a snowflake.

On a positive note I've just enjoyed 9 holes of golf in the sunshine.

Where did you play? My course Cold Ashby is closed due to being waterlogged.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

A great opportunity for some to have a pop at bargain basement shopping, although De Gea is a free agent.
