I know some of you don't think Cobblers supporters should be allowed to praise the efforts of our rugby team down the road but I have to say having watched the games at Saracens last week and at Glasgow last night, the Saints really are building something special down there. They are always one of the best sides in the Country, fair play to them, but the squad they have now could be the best of the bunch.

As a Northamptonian, I love it when the towns teams are doing well, just a shame the cricket team got relegated.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Me too. Still doesn't make me like rugby.  I'd like their ground though.

Think it's good for the town when the sporting teams do well, Northampton seems to get so little publicity.
I used to watch the County when they had top class players and I got taken to the Saints as a boy, but never got the bug for Rugby.
Still look at their results and I'm pleased when they are doing well.

Don’t like them, never will! Lived in Jimmies end for too many years to have any regard for them

Agree completely. And for other Northamptonians to think it ok to knock any other team representing the town is ridiculous, either way. I've supported and watched both since I wore short trousers.

I don’t begrudge them success. They are Northampton at the end of the day.

But I have no idea why they are singing our big city lights song. And chanting shoe army. Cheeky foookers.

Obviously Cobblers fans who have crossed over. I went on a coach to a Saints final once, they only have two songs, the aforementioned "Oh when the Saints" and "Come on you Saints", That's it. Imagine a coach journey with continual singing and only two songs being sung. Torture.

Everybody knows that rugby players were the kids that were too fat to make the school football team.

Rugby: A game played by a bunch of blokes who every so often feel the need to get in a huddle, bend down and sniff each others árseholes.
