Prime position for what though? What sort of a sport, means that the team that finishes first goes into a play off lottery? You might as well conserve your energy, and aim for fourth. I cannot take this concept seriously. |

Playoff system makes some sense because : 1. Exciting end of season games. 2. More income. 3. Earlier results are sometimes unjust due to injuries, international call ups etc. |

2. More income.
3. Earlier results are sometimes unjust due to injuries, international call ups etc.
I always see point 3 the other way around; a team could win every single game in their league season, finish top by a country mile and then have a wave of illness in the camp during the playoff games, meaning they aren't champions. It's a silly system for me and geared more toward revenue than the spirit of the game. |
