Do you know what Dan, years ago Tabby's ancestors were still pooltling about on a horse and cart whilst his neighbours had one of these new fangled motor cars. Chances are that he will have a diesel car when the rest of us move on to EVs. Some can't see the wood for the trees.
I'm struggling with blocks, I keep seeing the Spring Boroughs in my mind's eye. Couldn't we have groups instead of blocks?

Come on now Pete, you keep coming back so there’s got to be some yearning for the content 😉 Bingers we need to share a pint in Burton as we discuss the progress of block 7 (think that’s the next game you’d pinpointed as attending?) Just want to get involved with the jovial fun this thread has to offer. A solid start in what is a hard block of games
Buckle in buddy, it’s going to be a hell of a journey. He’s gone to pay for a pint in the crown and Cushion with shillings. But his time will come 🙌🏽

I consider this thread and it’s errant comments, as a huge compliment to just how much disdain and attention my meagre utterances can cause.

You know what mate? I have had a diesel golf 1.9tdi for some years now. Never let me down, or mysteriously burst into flames in an airport car park. As for "new fangled" I would imagine that around your way, they still point at aeroplanes.

Get in there. 7 already not by either of us 🙌🏽 We all love a good compliment. And huge ones are even better.
I consider it equally flattering that someone not at all interested in it keeps coming in ☺️ cheers Fenners.

With the revision to the block after the Oxford postponement, there will of course be further revisions to come.
WHAT A WIN TONIGHT. Block 6 started very nicely indeed.
Wigan 1-1 Charlton A 3-2 Shrewsbury H Portsmouth A Bolton H
4 points from the first 6 available and now three chances to improve the reverse results. You’ve got to feel good about us doing that too.
Up the Cobblers.

A really difficult block so great to get 4 points on the board already. Shrewsbury will have a new manager which is always tricky and it doesn't get any tougher than Pompey/Bolton who are the 2 best teams in the division and have already beaten us comfortably.

It’s potentially good timing to be playing those both as they’ve been a bit iffy recently. Apparently Bolton were very fortunate on Tuesday night.
Definitely would be helped if Sowerby is fit for them 👍🏽 It’ll be interesting to see when Oxford is rescheduled for. This block is the hardest on paper that we have, and if we get through it fairly unscathed, who knows…

https://www.northamptonchron.co.uk/sport/football/top-scorer-hoskins-says-in-form-cobblers-wont-be-getting-carried-away-4491949Super Sam talking about the blocks of 5; if you can find it amongst the 473528 adverts that pop up! Glad you are keeping these blocks up to date, Dan. I was looking forward to going to Oxford but now it clashes with my allotment AGM and I'm standing for re-election on the committee. So I've got a big decision to make. I was hoping it would be in the following block or later on in this block. Either way, its the first time an allotment meeting has clashed with an important game in one of our blocks. I'm seething. Good to see your involvement in such a worthy cause Drilling. Competition for a spot on the committee must be tough if you have to turn up to the AGM to get elected. In most voluntary organisations, just mentioning that you might be prepared to consider a role at some point in the previous 12 months is usually enough to press ganged into something. Surely they realise that you know your onions and therefore a trip to Oxford won't interfere with re-election. Today the Allotment Committee, tomorrow Supports Rep, next year POTUS.

Dont forget about the caravan commitee. It just needs Colin Crompton to ring his bell.
