7 blocks have been settled. .

Block 1 : 2 wins, 1 draw, 2 losses.
7 points from 15

Block 2 : 2 wins, 0 draws, 3 losses.
6 points from 15

Block 3 : 0 wins, 1 draw, 4 losses.
1 point from 15

Block 4 : 4 wins, 0 draws, 1 loss.
12 points from 15

Block 5 : 3 wins, 1 draw, 1 loss
10 points from 15

Block 6 fixtures :
Wigan H (L 2-1) 1-1
Charlton A n/a 3-2
Shrewsbury H (L 1-0) 0-2
Portsmouth A (L 3-0) 1-4
Bolton H (L 2-1) 1-1
1 win, 2 draws and 2 losses.
5 points from 5 games

Block 7 fixtures:
Orient A (D 2-2) 3-4
Bristol Rovers H (L 2-1) 3-1
Oxford A (W 2-1) 2-2
Burton A (W 2-0) 2-0
Charlton H (W3-2) 1-1
8 points for 5 games.

On to block 8 and the small matter of the Nene Derby. I’d expect a change to the schedule due to Derby clashing with the International break, so could see Reading heading in. I won’t do any predictions, but if we only got 3 points, I’d tolerate it if that was from Tuesday.

Block 8 :
Posh A (W 1-0)
Cambridge A (W 2-1)
Blackpool H (W 2-1)
Wycombe A (L 1-0)
Derby H (L 4-0)

Block 9 :
Reading A (W 3-1)
Port Vale H (L 1-0)
Carlisle H (D 2-2)
Fleetwood A (W 3-0)
Exeter H (W 2-0)

Block 10:
Barnsley A (L 2-1)

Bad start to block 8 after a Cambridgeshire double header sees just 1 point returned in comparison to 6 from the home match ups.

However, we must remember that a block represents a middle distance race, not a sprint, so there is still plenty of opportunities to make up ground on our targets.

Did a player spill in a recent interview that the target is 6 in this block,?

Well what a pleasant want to end what has been a very challenging block 8.

Only the 4 points from a set which sadly included a battering from our friends the other side of the Nen.

But to finish off beating Derby, who previously hammered us 4-0, and keep a clean sheet is very pleasing. I imagine 7 points was the target but we have to settle with 4.

Block 9 starts on Friday.

Reading A (3-1 W)
Port Vale H (0-1 L)
Carlisle H (2-2 D)
Fleetwood A (3-0 W)
Exeter H(2-0 W)

Our Block 9 has huge implications at the bottom of the league. I’d say there’s genuine chances of relegating Fleetwood and possibly Carlisle, though they might be gone by then.

Finish on a high boys, get some wins 🙌🏽

No, that is an easy block, facing teams who are in the lower half of the division for a reason. It's a marathon not a sprint and those who are not in it for the long haul are now falling by the wayside.

Bingers will be disappointed not to get a minimum of 11 points. And that will help to attract quality additions to the squad next season.

I can see the current Mrs T thanking her lucky stars over the next block.

That's not how it worked out yesterday.

It's a funny old game.

Reading 0-1
Port Vale 2-0
Carlisle 2-0 and relegation ⬇️
Fleetwood (3-0 w)
Exeter(2-0 W)

We’ve secured 2 more points so far than the like for like and have a good chance to finally score a goal at Fleetwood. Great to see a few clean sheets and solid performances. Possibly a bit unfortunate to not have 9 from 9 but a good week for Block 9 😄

You were sad enough to get the thread so could have topped it up with the data.Sadly with the pretty dull end to the season, enthusiasm dipped. Good to see you enjoy the mediocrity at the end of the year, fans like you mate are what we need 👍🏽 😊

But Fleetwood and Exeter do see back to back defeats to end the block. Sorry for not feeling like celebrating the two losses like you Pete 😘

Block 10 is the solitary game at Barnsley. Excited for your contributions through the week 🥳

Personally, I think the thread will last until the end of the season.

I think Block 10 is going to surprise you all.

The ever predictable reliable Bingers to the rescue. As expected as a “zut alors” on a matchday thread 😂

I was only basing it on the artificial buoyancy it has received from you and Bingers since I wrote it off early doors. 50+ posts by you two over a meagre 5 pages speaks volumes.

If it’s any consolation, I was only joking originally Dan. But as it dropped like stone without yours or Bingers injections of life support, I did have a wry smile to myself. But it’s not about what floats my boat. Thankfully 😁😁
