Results show we cannot compete with the top teams. We have played 8 games against the top 6 and lost 7 of them the only game we won was Posh at home and on the day a draw would have been a fair result.
Leagues within leagues, we were top of ours.

Hands down the most scandalous comment ever posted about our club, hang your head in shame.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

It was probably just a light hearted quip.

I plead for leniency m'lord.
Posh is the only game in 8 against the top 6 that we have not lost and I recall saying as we left the ground they would feel aggrieved leaving empty handed. The only other game I think we got more than we deserved was at Charlton because we were under pressure for a lot of the second half and they looked more likely to get another goal. However, it is so satisfying because it was our first winner over Posh for a long time and it caused Appleton's exit at Charlton.
On the other hand several games spring to mind where we should have taken more points than we did and these spring to mind:- Away at Wigan where we were winning 1-0 about the 70 minute mark and lost and at Shrewsbury, I'm not sure how we lost that game. Home to Stevenage a draw would have been fair after we dominated the 1st half and them the 2nd, lost to Wycombe a game we could have won, after playing 40 minutes with 10 men Orient equalising in the last minute.
Taking off 4 points from the Posh and Charlton games and adding on points from the rest we would probably have 3 more points now.

The thing that stood out to me is how very far off Pompey we were all over the pitch - I think it honestly proved (Marvo Alluded to this on another thread) none of our currently team would get in that squad, let alone match day 11, the disappointing element is not even getting close to compete with them, 2 very soft goals met the game was over in 16 mins

I agree with you entirely. Although, a lot of league one side would struggle against them, hence their league position. I can’t at this time think of one of our players that really stands out..

I think Leonard would fit in comfortably in that side and shine even brighter. It was noticeable how much he held onto the ball on Pompey in tight areas and retained it himself... only to look up and have no option to pass it to. He clearly does not want to simply go long aimlessly each time which is admirable and something we need more of. At the moment he does not have any real options or players who possess the same level on the ball, I think he would be hugely talked up in the Pompey side.

Funny how we see the game differently, i thought he was pretty poor (best of what we had) but didnt keep the ball very well and delivery was really poor all afternoon. When you pook at the two pompey boys in the middle of the park they dominated everything, Leonard is pretty slow in moving the ball forward in comparison, but would agree with the lack of option comment. Lets hope saturday is better

Err McIntyre is out for the rest of the season with a fractured ankle as a result of Mitchy's late challenge.

Didn’t see a lot wrong with the challenge on the footage available. The hazards of a contact sport. Not saying it would have prevented this one but they do wear those stupid tiny shin pads.

It's irrelevant as we benefited by them only have 10 men for the rest of the game... oh

Genuine challenge by both players....sometimes someone comes off hurt.... nothing deliberate or malicious and certainly not worthy of a red card. I personally would like to see tackles become part of the game again, robust challenges which as long as they remain fair are allowed..... rather that than a non-contact sport where players go down holding their ankle when someone breathes on their shoulder.
