Now they are trying to dry out the pitch for the 3rd test to give them another spinning wicket by baking it with patio heaters and giant fans. Pitches should only be subjected to prevailing weather conditions and if they are covered or not in my opinion and what they are doing should be unlawful and against the spirit of the game.
At least we are going to play an extra spinner this time.

Not in the spirit of the game, but we are the only country who adhere to those principles, maybe we should do what everyone else does, or does that make us as 'unscrupulous' as them?

A bit surprised they put us in, didn't think they would want to bat last.
First morning of the first day of a test match and 2 spinners open the bowling, plenty of turn and Duckett lbw to one that shoots along the ground. Not much chance of this going 5 days.

Dreadful performance today to hand ****stam victory we need to learn how to play on this type of pitch

Ollie Pope reminds me a bit of Graham Hick and Mark Rampakash obvious talent but never really cuts it at this level

Dreadful again we will never be successful at odi cricket again while the players don't play one day cricket

All the players in this squad play the 100 rather than one day cricket

Brilliant knock by Salt yesterday. Hopefully more today. And an added bonus, the Ozzies have been skittled for only 140 against ****stan.

Very good win for the Women in South Africa today. I was a bit concerned after the first two overs where Sciver-Brunt and Kemp got tonked, but the ever reliable Sophie Ecc steady the ship.
