Definitely an upgrade on the previous Mrs Tabasco. This one didnt cost me thousands, and likes to appreciate my habits and hobbies. And myself hers. (I love her cake making exploits). It works both ways. Excellent, put her on the retained list and hope she sees enough of what she likes to not go on a Bosman. Oh and keep her away from Fenners. We've got enough little Manny’s running around here in their blue shirts as it is.

According to transfermarkt Josh Tomlinson is also out of contract this summer. Another player who appears to have his injury issues and hasn't kicked on this season, although still very young.

Surprised that letting Burge go is so popular.I think his saves have kept us in a lot of games and i cant think of a better goalie that we have had for the last 3 or 4 years.
Liam Roberts was way better but I would still rate Burge the problems this season is he doesn't seem properly fit

I wouldn't trust transfermarkt on anything.. as stated in opening post...he signed a 'long term deal' in December 2022.

Although Tomlinson has a po deal he is really a second year youth team player, so shouldn't be expected to be anywhere near the first team.

Funny you should mention Burge and fitness after what Mr Calderwood told me yesterday
You definitely have my interest Ian. Feel free to message me about it if it’s best not publicised 👍🏽

I think that list of players in and out of contract next season is quite a nice balance.
A few out of contract that ideally I'd like to see renewed before the end of the season however there is definitely a decent chunk of budget being freed up which gives us plenty of scope to improve.

Thanks for the list, there's more on the out of contract I'd want to keep than those still contracted!

I can’t believe anyone would keep Patrick Brough he’s absolutely terrible at defending.

Think his form dropped off at little at present, but confident it'll come back.

That’s a bad attribute for someone whose main priority is to defend.

Brough is alright, mate. Every squad needs a sprinkling of steady players who never get injured. Against the lower ranked teams, hes fine. He does struggle against the top teams players, though. Akin and Tyler...both great players. Much much more ability. But they always get injured. Sherring is another one who doesn't guarantee you 30 plus games. He missed around 10 games last season, looks like at least the same this time round. That will without doubt put off suitors. He's a great player when fit, but he takes a lot of 'knocks'. That has gone under the radar a lot. Basically most of our defenders...ability wise...are great players. But they are all injury prone. Apart from Brough. Who like I say, is actually alright and is better than a bottom4 league1 player. He will also be on a modest wage I expect...remember he came to us from Barrow. Factor in all the variables and you can see why Brough is a very decent player for us. Just like Super Sam was a few years ago before his scoring spree....

I think he played there for Barrow but Brough really struggles in League One as a wing-back from what I've seen. But at full-back he's been very steady & much like Koiki seems more dangerous going forward when he's able to overlap, instead of being in no-mans land. I think also to be fair to him he often gets very isolated as Hoskins doesn't track back as much as he used to now he's our biggest attacking threat.
