Reasonable summary from Bolton - I have a mate up their and he largely thinks the same but is actually a bit cautious re our performance both against them and the other top teams knowing that trend occasionally does get  broken
There is plenty of reason for us BWFC fans to be cautious, not least the curse on our back 3. With a stack of injuries and Jones playing in the Asian Cup we had to loan Taylor on the last day of the window and play him the next day after one training session - he did ok TBF. But apart from Johnston who is out for the season, the others are either injured or coming back from injury or plain knackered.
Whoever plays it will be a new partnership and the back 3 are crucial to our build from the back style.
We’ve also had loads of matches postponed due to clashes with cup ties etc etc so we already have to play twice a week to the end of the season - so another postponement would be disastrous. Eight matches a month is a fair old workload.
All that said, we have some good players. They’ve had a few inexplicably poor performances but when they gel they’re a good watch so much will depend on how they play on the day. They won’t lack incentive so from my perspective I hope they bring it, but there are no guarantees with this team.
FWIW the away fans at Carlisle was the full allocation - give us the seats and we’ll fill ‘em - there’s a lot of love for the Wanderers ATM given our brush with extinction and the entertaining footie Ian Evatt has brought to the club as we rebuild.
Whatever happens I just hope it’s a good game and all the players are at their best.

Less optimistic from us, as also a Giant Haystack of injuries.
Virtually none of our midfield choice, and now of course, top scorer Sam Hoskins out too.
Think we are on eight out at the moment, with two recently returned, offset by Hoskins from the weekend.
Enjoyed staying over in Horwich btw at your place!

I think its's NINE. Unless you're not counting Hylton  Wink

Magloire, McGowan, Sowerby, Sherring (ankle in warm-up), Hoskins, Hylton, Koiki, McWilliams and Odimayo.

EDIT: Pinnock could also be a doubt after 'that tackle' Pompey fans got a little hot under the colar about.

When I posted, I presumed Sherring was back, but of course with this regime, massaging your ankle, never mind just feeling it procures another lengthy sideline stint!
Nine it is then. As you were chaps.

Brough becomes a liability, when playing with five at the back. I dont think that Brady will try that again anytime soon. And I would certainly have Leonard playing as opposed to Hondermark. Possibly Springett to start in front of Pinnock, as he is carrying stitches in his leg. Moulden in for Burge? Yes.

I have to say I agree. He’s a bit like the latest Land Rover, might be called a Defender but just isn’t, so ends up being a luxury you can’t afford.

Correction to my previous post, the 4-0 home win was not in our season in the top flight but the previous season when we won promotion.

My first game. What a start.

I wouldn't be against Moulden being given a chance and I doubt Wolves expect him to be continually sat on the bench after player consistently at Rochdale. I would also play Fox for as minutes he is able to play and then replace him with Hondermarck, better to have Fox from the start to bringing him on when we are chasing the game.

                                                                                                          Moulden

                                                                Fox                                      Gape                                   Leonard

Some interesting line ups... I will guess JB will go something like this:

                 Burge

Lintott   Willis    Guthrie   Brough

     Hondermarck    Leonard

Bowie       Pinnock        Appere

               Simpson

I'd almost be more inclined to really go at them early doors with the same line up, but a 4-4-2 with Pinnock out wide and Appere down the middle.

I think it's clear that JB doesn't trust Lintott or Hondermarck, so wouldnt be surprised to see Willis at RB and Monthe (although another who isnt exactly a favourite) in CB... depends on how we need to deal with their attacking threat. Either way, it leaves us volunerable so let's hope Sherring or McGowan are secretly fit - if one of them is, they will no doubt take Lintotts place which makes the defence look a bit more solid.

Doubt Gape is match ready... but if he is, can see him starting in place of Hondermarck. I imagine it's too soon for Fox to start given the length of time he's been out.

Whatever the starting XI is, the bench will be weak and with semi-crocked/tired legs having to power through, or get replaced by fringe players, I can't see us picking up any points tomorrow.

As Bolton are called "the trotters" we have a chance if Rodney and Del Boy are playing, preferably Grandad as well.

Don't forget Damian (he must be the right age by now) and Uncle Albert.
