Historically we just have the edge over Cambridge with 18 wins to their 16 and 14 draws but the unusual stat from these 48 games is that only 13 have been won by the home team including our victory over them earlier in the season. At Cambridge we have 11 wins, 6 draws and 6 defeats but 4 of those defeats were in our last 6 visits, also in the 23 games we have only failed to score once.
Cambridge have lost their last 4 games and only 5 teams have scored fewer goals, they have 18 fewer goals than us but they have conceded 12 fewer. At home they have won 7, drawn 4 and lost 7 and in the 18 games they have only scored 16 goals but conceded only 19, they have never managed to score more than 2 which they have achieved 5 times and 7 times they have failed to score. Defensively they have kept 7 home clean sheets and only conceded more than once 5 times.
Leading goal scorers are Gassan Ahadme with 7 (10 in all comps.) and Fejiri Okenabirhie 5 (9) but neither are likely to play tomorrow as they are both injured. However, they do have Lyle Taylor who joined in January on a short term deal to the end of the season and he will be available tomorrow having served a 3 game ban during which Cambridge failed to score. They are of course desperate for points to avoid the drop after finishing in 20th place last season and this will be new manager Garry Monks first game back in management since the end of 2020.
Declan Bourne is the referee and in 19 games he has issued 85 yellows, 4 reds and awarded 4 penalties.

Not linked to Tuesdays performance, but of our group of 9 who attended, only 1 is going tomorrow.
Hopefully a better time in Cambridgeshire for those who do travel tomorrow 👍🏽

Always enjoyed my visits to the Abbey. Do they still do the bacon rolls? Remember Forrester scoring a Worldie once, and a very rare defeat in THAT Wilder season. And Perez their keeper (a complete clown)

Dont really have a huge appetite for tomorrow's game, assume its because of Tuesday's drubbing. I cant decide what team I would start with, I think a few players deserve a chance to show what they have.
Do i think Brough needs a spell out of the starting XI, yes. However without another player who is used to playing there I think he will need to continue to play. If we have no fit RB i would rather see Lintott play there if he is fit and available.
I dont think it will happen as i assume we will see Pinnock starting (has not done huge amounts wrong in recent weeks) but I feel like Springett deserves a chance to show what he has got. No harm in rotation either after we chased the ball down for 90 mins.
Both Sowerby and McWilliams looked off the pace so both coming off the bench would be fine.
I think Bowie is our best attacking player and Simpson offers the pace that no one else does and therefore makes the starting XI for me.
Moulden Lintott Moore Guthrie Brough Hondemarck Fox Leonard Bowie Springett Simpson

I did leave a lot earlier than you on Tuesday 😄 Cambridge is an easy one for me to get to from Sunny Suffolk and a first ever away day for my daughter.

After bringing back Hoskins, Sowerby and McWilliams on Tuesday none of which appeared to be near match fit it will be interesting to see JB's starting 11 tomorrow. Unless any of those 3 have drastically improved their fitness in the last few days I would leave them all on the bench. Haynes hardly ever makes the 18 man squad which leaves Lintott and Brough as our only fit full backs and both are better going forward than defending so I would play as wing backs with a back 3 and start with players who are fit.
Moulden
Sherring Guthrie Moore or Monthe
Lintott Brough
Hondermarck Fox Leonard Pinnock
Bowie
We now have conceded more away goals than any team in the division and starting with the Derby game we have conceded 28 goals in the last 11 away games (2.55 goals per game) while scoring 18. The last 6 away games have averaged almost 5 goals a game totalling 29 with 12 for and 17 against. Clearly a drastic improvement is needed at the back to get any points tomorrow but Cambridge don't score many. We also need to improve up front as our last 4 games has seen us manage a mere 8 attempts on target. We have a good record there and after the shambolic Tuesday night it would be good to maintain it.

Around a third of our 1473 allocated tickets remain.
A terrible showing for an away trip only an hour down the road.

Yes, around 350 remaining, we've sold just under 1100, hopefully that number will bump up to 1200. Let's make a racket in our other cambridgeshire opponents!

It’s a 1-3 bounce back, 1 for Bowie, 2 for Tyreece in the last 10 minutes. Sorry I can’t be more specific.
