With the season now in the finishing straight which clubs do we want to exit division 1 and who do we want to replace them?

Promotion from div 1. I hope Portsmouth and Derby go up as we cannot compete with them at the moment and either Bolton or Barnsley to join them. Peterborough, Stevenage and Oxford can all stay down.

Relegated from div 1. Not surprisingly Carlisle are making a swift return, Fleetwood with their crooked owner in jail can join them and hopefully Reading with their financial issues. I am not too bothered who
makes up the 4 but would prefer Burton and Cambridge to survive as local clubs but not sure both will as they are both very poor.

Relegated from the Championship. Rotherham coming back down but then 7 teams are within 4 points or 9 within 6 points. Sheffield Wednesday looked as thou they would be coming straight back down but are
staging a recovery and Huddersfield, Birmingham, QPR, Stoke, Blackburn and Plymouth are all in danger. We have a decent record against Plymouth so them +1 other.

Promoted from div 2. I hope big spending Wrexham stay down as I don't like to see them rewarded with instant success and I was pleased Stockport didn't make it last season but they can come up this season,
Mansfield are due a promotion but any team down to mid table still have a chance. MK can stay down and I would prefer any 2 from Crewe, AFC Wimbledon ,Walsall and Gillingham.

Birmingham & Wednesday down, not bothered about anyone else.

Wouldn't mind if Lincoln went up through the play-offs, if only to shut you lot up.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

Promotion from div 1. Want Pompey, Bolton, Barnsley. Think Pompey, Bolton, Blackpool

Relegated from div 1. Want Carlisle (actually dont want them to but they are gone anyway), Vale, Fleetwood, Burton. Think Carlisle, Vale, Cambridge, Reading.

Relegated from the Championship. Want Rotherham (see Carlisle above), Stoke, Blackburn. Think Rotherham, Huddersfield, Birmingham

Promoted from div 2. Want Stockport, Barrow, AFC Wimbledon, None. Think Mansfield, Wrexham, Milton Keynes,  Walsall,

Why would that shut people up? Even if they went up it wouldn’t prove anything, as I said before we were always massively overachieving so there was far more scope for Lincoln to improve, add to that a spate of injuries and a poor goalkeeping replacement which would have likely scuppered any remote hope of the play offs. First it was Bristol Rovers, then Orient, now Lincoln. It’s easy with hindsight to pick the team in form and say that could have been us.

It always makes me chuckle when kite flyers want others to shut up, it’s the last thing they want 😉

I know its easy and you know why? Because it could have been us.

Who on earth would go to football matches if every result always turned out the way the bookies expected?

That's the beauty of the game.

As for shutting people up, well several people on here said we were too far behind. Well Lincoln were further back AND we had just beaten them comfortably at their place. So there you go.

Pretty much agree with all of that, as you have pretty much sat on the fence, and covered all bases. However, dont be surprised if Watford enter the final day in a "must win" game.  Wink

Down from the Championship Rotherham, Sheffield Wednesday and Birmingham. Up from League One Portsmouth, Derby and Blackpool. Down from League One Carlisle, Port Vale, Fleetwood and Burton (simply because I really like going to Cheltenham. Up from League Two Stockport, Wrexham, Crewe and MK Dons (simply because I really hate going to Mansfield).

I'd like 3 teams worse than us to come down and 4 others worse than us to come up. Is that wishful thinking?

Well we could get four teams worse than us come up but they'd have to promote them from the national League (North).  Grin Tongue

Birmingham going down with Sheffield Wednesday would be perfect.

Wendesday is big, has lots of cobwebs, and echos, Hudders is a great day out and a great stadium.
Wrexham has wooden seats and only three sides, and a dodgy welsh/scouse hybrid accent, Crewe is just a dirty railway town, and nothing special, and Wimbledon is just a generic new ground, and expensive in the local pubs.
Hudders is one of my favourite days out.

Crewe is a horrible L2 club, Wednesday, Blues and Stoke down.

Quite like to see stoke go down as they are the biggest spenders in the championship this year.

Reading, not a chance they will go down.
Based on an assumption more points will be taken away from them or they go into administration (I hope neither happen).

I used to enjoy the banter with Huddersfield fans on the old rivals boards, I remember passing a mini bus load of our finest dolled up in their Burberry and Aquascutum gear on their way into Huddersfield

Although I have no love for MK if it came to a straight choice between them and moneybags Wrexham I would take MK. Don't want to see clubs throwing a load of money at buying promotion at the first attempt which is why I pleased we kept Stockport down last season.
