300 tickets left from the 1805 allocation.

sold around 1500 so far which is decent.

Decent support considering we have very little to play for

Where did you hear this?

We've only sold out the bottom tier, and still selling the second one.

Don't know who conorntfc is but I'd give scant regard to anything he posts regarding ticket sales.
Early on the Portsmouth (a) thread he posted;

Looks like the  allocation of 1,104 tickets is close to a sell out.

We took 750 odd in total!

Not only is Good Friday but there is engineering work on the rails as per usual. No trains south of Milton Keynes over the entire weekend. There is a route to Reading via Coventry but its a bit tortuous and i'm sure Cross Country trains will be short formed and extremely busy!!

The route via Coventry is hardly tortuous...in fact to Reading, quite smooth. Expensive yes, anyone going that way would be advised to split tickets;
Northampton to Coventry - Coventry to Reading. £48 rtn basically, as opposed to £70 rtn just booking the whole hog!

Tortuous in as much as it takes a while (just over 2 hours) with a change onto a crowded (usually) 4 coach Voyager at Coventry to stand up for an hour, and all at a time when people will be looking for other ways to get into London as the WCML is closed.

Can't comment on that. When living in Oxford, often took the Reading train back home from New Street, always Inter-City- on Sunday in particulars, very empty!

I'll be going another way at any rate!

Hi All

Looking forward to a nice bank holiday drink up.

For those coming by train, Loads of pubs in the town centre for drinking. Best bet would be the Three Guinees or Gateway which are right next to the station and next to the busses/taxis/train that take you to the ground.

Buses are specially put on, take about 10 mins and cost around 3.50 return I believe. Taxis are about a tenner so worth it if 4/5 of you travelling. There is also a very short train to green park which is right next to the ground.

If you're driving/taking a coach there are beer and food stalls around the ground or you can go into the hotel if you want to be inside.

Hoping for a good game and hopefully a party atmosphere if, as hoped, exclusivity on new owners is confirmed this week.

Welcome and thanks for the info.
What is the intention if the new owners aren't confirmed this week?

None as it stands. We want to secure safety first then see where we are in a couple of weeks.

I think at the moment, we’re treading a fine line between getting him out, not pissing him off too much while negotiations are ongoing and getting enough points to stay in the league.

This could prove to be toughest of our 3 remaining away games. Reading are 8th in the home games table with 2 more home points than Barnsley whose home record is identical to ours apart from goals scored and conceded.

I’m gonna skip this one.
It’s easy to get to for me but I want to keep the happy memory of our Carling Cup win banked as the last visit, unless it’s a game worth going to.

1-0 on our big day out came the cry from the massive championship club that night.

Little old Northampton having a big day out…. At Reading 😂

Still, we all know how it ended up and how we went on to beat Liverpool away in the next round.
To be fair, that was a big day out!

In what still seems like a dream, the nightmare looks like it may be coming to an end.

We have today agreed terms with new owners and it's now with the EFL for ratification.

I hope no club every has to go through this again. Very stressful and while it might still go wrong, their is now a chink of light.

Should change the tone at the ground somewhat
