Following the recent Supporters Advisory Board (SAB) meeting on 7 March 2024, we have selected a few issues that appear to be the current/topical flavours, that we would like to raise on your behalf, and would like you to categorise the level of importance of action needed/required that you apply to each. The list is not exhaustive, but it is a start.

Against each bullet point put either:
Essential, Priority, Nice to Have, Routine or Sufficient. With, if required a one or two word comment.

We will raise these at the next SAB meeting according to the majority opinion of The Hotelend members.
The issues are based on the completion of the East Stand, that we are yet to discover the final design and facilities that will be included within, and for that reason we have avoided any potential overlap and are as follows:

1.   Increase Ground Capacity: Corners, South and North Stands
2.   Increase capacity to (minimum): 10k, 12k, 15k 20k?
3.   Carry out general ground maintenance: Fixtures and fittings, seats, gate paint, toilets etc.. (A visual improvement, low cost quick wins)

4.   Kids Corner: Improvements/ideas.
5.   Community Interaction: Improvements/ideas.

6.   Ticketing: Current expense/increases, differences between home and away areas.
7.   Increase attendances: Incentives, recruitment ideas.

8.   Matchday experience (home): larger bar area, drink/food standards and pricing, in house income or franchising and/or a covered village area.
9.   Matchday experience (away): bar, food standards and pricing, likewise in house income or franchising, sharing with home supporters?
10.   Car parking: Expansion of the current availability.

We are not entering into a discussion about each issue as we have enough of that on the Redev and the original SAB thread and we would that that continues.  Before you respond, you are asked to consider the current work that is being undertaken and/or proposed and the realistic funding and probability of the specific suggestions that you make.

We are just after your brief thoughts (one or a couple of word answers for each) that we can introduce and discuss at the SAB meeting in order to ‘guide’ the club in some sort of priority order."

Brevity is key here, but if we need for you to expand on or clarify your specific point, we will contact you direct.
Anything that is not specifically related to this subject will be deleted.

I would say 'nice to have' for all of them. Hope you get a better response from Tom Cliffe on Point 3 than I got from Kelvin Thomas when I raised it at the Open Forum. He insisted that none of it was needed.

1.   Increase Ground Capacity: East, North, NE and NW Corners, South, remaining corners. Priority
2.   Increase capacity to (minimum): 12 - 15k. Priority.
3.   Carry out general ground maintenance: Routine. Just fix stuff that's broke. Seats dont bother me to much as long as hopefully will have people sitting in them.

4.   Kids Corner: Improvements/ideas. Routine - More around the ground. I sit in West so dont take my daughter round to east. I know this is laziness on my part though!
5.   Community Interaction: Improvements/ideas. - Keep doing what they are doing. Maybe engage more with charities to bring groups in (blue light, military, Cube, etc)

6.   Ticketing: Current expense/increases, differences between home and away areas. - Routine - Make it so that single seats are not left on their own
7.   Increase attendances: Incentives, recruitment ideas. - After capacity increases. 5x, 10x game tickets as well as season tickets and half season tickets. That club along the nene do something similar.

8.   Matchday experience (home): larger bar area, drink/food standards and pricing, in house income or franchising and/or a covered village area. Priority. Get more options near the stadium to bring people away from the other pubs. Need to be priced reasonably. Partner with local breweries, more food options near the ground.
9.   Matchday experience (away): bar, food standards and pricing, likewise in house income or franchising, sharing with home supporters? - Share with home when possible.
10.   Car parking: Expansion of the current availability - Make it part of the warehouse leases that the carparks are available on Saturdays.

3) routine
4) Dedicated area so it can be geared up for their needs
5) sufficient
6) routine
7) priority
8 ) nice to have
9) essential, allied to extension of capacity in South Stand
10) essential, especially post development.

Would also like to discuss East Stand development

1.   Increase Ground Capacity: Corners, South and North Stands - essential South, North and Corners in that order
2.   Increase capacity to (minimum): 10k, 12k, 15k 20k? 10 - 12 - 15k phased pretty much as above - it’s unlikely the current structure would allow anything above 15k
3.   Carry out general ground maintenance: Fixtures and fittings, seats, gate paint, toilets etc.. (A visual improvement, low cost quick wins) Nice to have but it’s not the disgrace some would have us believe.

4.   Kids Corner: Improvements/ideas. Nice to have - get them hooked early
5.   Community Interaction: Improvements/ideas. Essential but current activities are excellent so continue

6.   Ticketing: Current expense/increases, differences between home and away areas. Nothing much needed re change
7.   Increase attendances: Incentives, recruitment ideas. Nice to have but staying above L2 and having additional capacity is essential

8.   Matchday experience (home): larger bar area, drink/food standards and pricing, in house income or franchising and/or a covered village area. Nice to have and could bring in additional revenue but many fans just go to see the game and don’t care about this.
9.   Matchday experience (away): bar, food standards and pricing, likewise in house income or franchising, sharing with home supporters?   Nice to have but overall sharing still has some risks for some fixtures

Thanks Deepcut for this

1. / 2. Essential  -  North 1st as that will create space elsewhere in the ground for away fans. Do fans want us to spend £2-£3+ on away fans facilities while home fans go without?

Corners really nice but very very expensive

3 - 10  Most of it pretty obvious

One big question missing....  who is going to do it and pay for it?

What’s the obsession with the corners 😂 hardly any capacity increase and expensive and difficult.
South first, then a proper East the if we manage to get into the Championship the North, that would give us 15k.
