Our last 7 games, W1, D2, L4. That Derby win papered over a few cracks. Glad Port Vale have something to play for, might wake our boys up.

Grumpy: We've been on the beach for weeks.

Managers like Bowen and Wilder* are rare to come by! Whether we like it or not Jon Brady is the only recent Manager who can possibly follow in their* footstops!

We should stick with him, as at the moment he is our only hope of survival as a EFL Club!

I'm away for this and not bothered either, if I get back to the cottage on time I will watch on the stick. Losing the love for going every other week, season ticket in the balance, next season could be turgid I think

At least we'll have something to still play for next March... Tongue

In your opinion!

No, not my opinion. We've won just once in our last 7 games. That's a fact. Didn't you go to all those games, that seems to be the whole point of your life.

Can’t say I’m looking forward to it either. I just want a bit of entertainment.

Not a massive fan of Vale so would be happy to put a nail in their coffin, but equally do like the away day there.

They’ll be fired up for it but can see us being good for a point. 1-1, Appere to bag for us.

The comments on here seem to suggest that there are a set of people that only enjoy a game if there is something hanging on the result. This seems strange to me as for us spectators the game is all there is, so if you dont enjoy watching a football game for what it is there is nothing else.
If we win a lot more than we lose then the quality of the football improves and if we lose more then it reduces but it's still watching football matches. That's it.

At the risk of being pedantic, shouldnt that be Roman roads in Britain?

If all that were true every game would see the same home attendance, whether you were playing Man Utd or Mansfield, your desire and determination to be there would be at the same level.

Of course it isn't so we'll leave it at that.

Hello stalker Wink
I agree some football matches are more exiting than others which is why the attendances do vary but my point is they are all football matches. If you are at a level where you dont want to go to a match because it's only that match that's at stake then you have to question whether it really is for you.

You mean Britannia? Strictly speaking, apparently the Latin equivalent to road was 'Via' which meant the Roman Way. But am happy with road and the UK. After all the 'via's' are all over the UK.

I hate to spoil your disillusionment but I hadn't even noticed who made the post. Anyway, much like pre-season friendlies, when there nothing riding on the result, there's little point in watching, far better ways of spending your time and money. Unless you really dont have anything better to do.
