Why's that? Only three of our Saturday afternoon home games will start at 12.30.
Not sure if thats correct - at least 20 games for each team shown so about10 home games most of which will be a Saturday so i think its more like 7-8 games

Not sure why people berate Sky. Ultimately they put an offer on the table and the EFL and members accepted so unless there are 72 clubs out there with divs for accountants then you'd have to believe that financially at least, the clubs felt this worked in their favour.
To add a further alternative view, Ive not attended regularly for over 35 years as I live in the North, so I'm never going to own a season ticket and northern away days are the only time I get to see the team live. Incidentally I must be some kind of jinx as I've endured some pretty turgid rubbish at places like Bury, Fleetwood, Rochdale, Accrington, etc.
However, I love it when we're "on the telly". And without wishing to alienate myself from 3000 odd ST holders and a couple of thousand odd other "regulars", I'm betting there are at least ten, twenty even times more Cobblers fans out their who will be thrilled than they'll get to see their team on TV. I get how ST holders might feel betrayed but for me, when you by a ST you're making a commitment because you will move heaven and earth to attend. Personally, I'd never buy anything of this nature if I couldn't commit and get value from it. I gave up paying annual membership of my golf club because I like to play open comps and get bored playing the same course (Appleby and Kendal this weekend).
Furthermore and I can't prove this obviously.... But it's feasible more TV exposure to the EFL might actually create demand as watching fans might think, I want some of that.... Though that depends on how good we are.... Could equally work in reverse.
Either way, for me personally, this is great.
Ps. Agree with many posters.... Haggle with Sky. I dumped their broadband because they messed about when fibre came in and we ended up on their worst connection (apparently WWE had to downgrade to upgrade, then they lost our line details.... Long messy story). I'm now with talk talk on their top fibre, excellent reliability speed, multi routers, the works.... £39. Bear in mind I work from home and have 3 social media/gaming junkies to cater for. I still pay Sky 100 plus but that's all channels, Netflix, Paramount, etc and a few interest free payments on 65inch Sky glass. Once that's finished paying for I'll be renegotiating. Media and entertainment eh.... And football....

Isn't it 8 midweek (and bank holiday) league games, 3 EFL Trophy, a minimum of 1 League Cup game and 6 Saturday games (3 at home and 3 away)? That makes 18 and then you have other Saturdays with no Premier League games when Sky can show 3.00 pm games. Another way of looking at it; There are 38 Saturdays a season (roughly) 2 of which are taken up by the FA Cup. Sky only show 4 League One sides per Saturday. There are 24 League One sides. So we are on Sky every 6th Saturday. That's 6 games per season (3 at home, 3 away).

Looking at next seasons Sky TV fixture criteria, against this seasons NTFC 23 home league games.
8 would of be on TV based on next seasons Sky TV fixture criteria. Opening game v Stevenage Midweek v Lincoln Midweek v Reading Midweek v Orient New Year v Cheltenham Midweek v Blackpool International Break v Derby Easter v Port Vale
Would leave 15 remaining Saturday games that could still then be moved for following reason: Reason 1 - Local clash with Saints (1 game moved to 2pm last season)* Reason 2 - Clash with priority Cup fixture (None last season) * Reason 3 - Weather (None last season)* Reason 4 - International Call Ups (None last season )* Reason 5 - Sky TV Fixture (2 would be moved in theory - if 20 games shown for each club, then based on 10 home and 10 away (a big if) then can expect 2 Saturday games to be moved.
(* - based on memory!)
Would leave 12 Saturday 3pm Home games, and 11 non Saturday 3pm fixtures.
Very lucky last season we didnt have home games moved for reasons 2,3,4, but we certainly had away ones moved for those reasons.
Away games are going to be very tricky to plan ahead and Im very undecided on renewing my season ticket because of the amount of possible fixture changes.

I think people are reading too much into this. Fixture changes will happen to accommodate TV now, its the nature of the beast. I for one can only really go to games on the weekend, but it won't stop me renewing my season ticket, if people haven't renewed now, there probably was a good chance they weren't going to anyway and this just gives them the excuse they were looking for not to.

Another way of looking at it;
There are 38 Saturdays a season (roughly) 2 of which are taken up by the FA Cup. Sky only show 4 League One sides per Saturday. There are 24 League One sides. So we are on Sky every 6th Saturday. That's 6 games per season (3 at home, 3 away).
I'm getting confused with the maths and I'm sure the June fixture list and EFL confirmation of televised fixtures will make things clearer but looking at your calculation - but if there are 4 league one games each Saturday that's 8 teams so we are on TV every 3rd Saturday, so at home every 6th (average obviously) - 6 into 38 suggests 6-7 home games doesn't it? I hope your calculations are right though, as home lunchtime KO definitely spoil the full match day experience. On another note I definitely think this will be detrimental to gates - particularly winter midweek games for non ST holders - a NOW day pass is cheaper than a ticket and the whole household can watch in comfort.

"Each full weekend of EFL fixtures will see 10 live matches shown - including three Championship, two League One and two League Two matches all broadcast live at 12:30pm on Saturdays.'
I think its 4 League One clubs a Saturday, not 4 League one games.
Unless your Wrexham who i'd expect will be on more.

Telegraph article said the 10 matches would be 6 from the championship and 2 each from divisions 1 & 2.
I have Sky but for those who don't will they be able to purchase individual games to watch?

It's a bit of a backward step, while ifollow wasn't great it was nice to be able to pay £10 for a midweek game I couldn't get too. I don't have nor afford to pay for the whole Sky Sports package.
Still got my season ticket and while I hope moves are kept to a minimum, it'll quite nice cruising back down the A14 while it's still light during the winter.

Why's that? Only three of our Saturday afternoon home games will start at 12.30.
That would add onto the 6 or 7 home games I miss a season due to work commitments

Excellent, I am home from holiday in time for the start of the season for a change. Let's hope for Barnsley away.

Sky are saying that each club will be featured "more than 20 times in the season"..... those games will include the guaranteed one EFL Cup match and 3 guaranteed EFL Trophy matches.
