Form a Club, don't pay your debts go bust, repeat as many times as you need ,or until the realisation hits that the Town of Nuneaton can't support a football

To be fair, Nuneaton Borough have a long history with decent crowds!
The old Manor Ground once had a capacity of 22,500 until beginning of the Eighties. Was privileged enough to watch George Best guest for them against Coventry City in a riot carnage ridden night in front of over 8000.
Similar in terms of riots when making the 4 mile trip from across the border to support Hinckley Athletic in the FAC 1st round - same day as the Cobblers running riot 5-0 at Posh.

Turned up there for a couple of friendlies with the Cobblers too in the mid/late Eighties...the first time, getting the day wrong as three of us sat on an empty Cock & Bear End terrace!

Also at their new ground at Attleborough for the Cobblers friendly around 2013 time, by then Nuneaton Town.

So gotta say, rather unfair comments at the very least!

Always been blue & white stripes...though seemed to be yellow was the default away strip in non-league!  Shocked Grin
