Pretty much as expected.
Some guys that havn't worked out off the payroll gives some opportunity, hope Sherring sticks around but suspect we'll not find out for a while on that one while he tests the waters!

I think Jon needs to sign a minimum of 10 players 7 perms and 3 loans, on a budget that looks tiny again as we are offering contracts to the likes of Burge, McWilliams, Willis and Sherring all injuries waiting to happen probably none would get a contract in L1 with another club apart from Sherring who won’t sign. If we stay up next season it will be a miracle. FACT.

It will be interesting to hear what players that are under contract have been asked to look elsewhere. I’d assume the below which is 50%!
Brough Dyche Koiki Lintott Monthe Tomlinson Hondermarck
All 6 of the players offered new contracts have had long term injuries this season and the previous, most of them multiple.
I’d say we have 3 reliable players under contract (Guthrie, Hoskins & Pinnock). The rest are an injury waiting to happen (Maglorie, Odimayo, McGowan & Sowerby).
A very big summer ahead.

Nigel will ride to the rescue
According to KTs transcript from Thursday night, “Nigel Le Quesne” "It came about through a random conversation at an event. A friend of mine got talking to Nigel and we were put in touch and it went from there. He has been looking at a few clubs and been approached by a few clubs but this felt the right fit. He brings finances to the club, his business acumen is something we will lean on, we have a shared view that anything he gets involved in he wants to make better as do we, and our discussions are getting more in depth. He is a great guy, a very nice man, he knows and loves his football and we will see how it evolves.” WTF does that mean 😂 KT and NLQ know why he’s here, why all the spin and BS?

My guess would be we will sign 6/7 including loans, that will increase if those offered contracts don’t sign. Wouldn’t surprise me if Burge, Willis and McWilliams all got league 1 clubs, could see Evan’s at Rotherham maybe going for McWilliams as I know he was a fan of his at Stevenage. If we stay up it will hardly be a miracle, will depend entirely on the transfer window, I would put it at roughly 50:50.

Staying up will be difficult. With clubs coming up having alot bigger budgets than us. However Brady has worked miracles so far with 220npoints in 3 seasons Even if we do go down , I'm happy for him to stay.

I'm not sure why there is so much negativity around Burge now, when not so long ago everyone was 100% happy with him. OK he's been injured and lost some form, but surely that will return.

Assuming we have the same budget next season there are some reasons for optimism if we spend it more wisely than this season.
Hylton’s wages being a big opportunity for better investment. I presume that his weekly pay packet would have been higher than Leonards and Bowies combined. Those ITK is that a fair assumption??
Reinvesting that money into a very strong improved contract to Sherring seems to make sense. He’s only going to continue to develop and become even more of a sellable asset. May as well pay him more and recoup from a transfer fee than let him just go for nothing now.
Finally, our 5 loans returned to their clubs with only 2 of them regular starters. Better recruitment for those 5 loan places will be key.

Ignoring the 3 youngsters we have 13 players still under contract and if all 6 who have been offered a contract sign that will be 19. We would need a number 1 GK, a replacement for Leonard, another wide player, 3 strikers plus replacements for any player who decides to leave or contracted and is encouraged to leave.
