Anyone know when the Cobblers report back for pre-season training? I can't find it anywhere on the official site, and it surely can't be much longer.

I was in Northampton last week and I saw 'a team' on Abbey Park in training gear, running around a bit...

Looking forward to Wednesday, when the Blocks get released and I can start to organise my diary, and work out when I can start to play guess the player, with all those new faces to work out.

It's either Thursday or Friday this week. Initially it will be testing then full training to start a week tomorrow.

Only 1 home pre-season match so far, maybe with all the work going on in the East stand they want to let the workers carry on with their work instead  Wink

We are playing Norwich at home on 13th July, and then not another friendly until the 27th when we play Brackley Town, then Kings Lynn on 30th and finally Cheltenham Town on the 3rd August, so just 4 matches. I thought someone said we were playing Harborough Town but it is not shown in the fixtures on the official site.

It doesn't seem a very taxing pre-season this year - maybe to try and avoid injuries?

Harborough Town was against a Cobblers XI, and now that we have a "first team" friendly against Kings Lynn on the same day this will really be a youth team game I assume? Thats if we have the numbers to put up 25-30 players across two teams on the same day anyway!

We do have a training camp in Spain from 21st to 25th don't forget.
