How is it that a person can get themselves to such a position with so little integrity in this day and age? Says as much about the system as the individual.

Said as much earlier. He was apparently well thought of and liked by those who worked with him, but I know of someone who was working at the family home when it kicked off between the Chief Constable and his wife who could tell another story. To go with his South Atlantic Medal, amongst other things been told there was a picture of an aircraft carrier on his office wall. Totally innocent coincidence obviously, with no deception meant. Lol. |

In my experience many people walk into jobs off the back of embellished CV's and claims of experience beyond the truth.
I think of the crap I had to go through when I applied for nursing jobs, CRB/DBS checks, NMC checks, Safeguarding checks, 2 or 3 references, just to wash bottoms and dish out pills! And he got to chief constable without anyone verifying his CV or military service! |

I could list numerous cases of significant abuse of position in medicine that have come before me. Only to see the perpetrators move on, and then a few years later employed in influential posts. |
