so this is just what someone said to me while watching the game in the west stand on saturday:
Willis 6 weeks Fosu 8 weeks mbete 6 weeks
seems a bit odd there all suddenly out for so long. Willis yes maybe can see that but i did see mbete jogging down the side of the pitch pre game to go down the tunnel.
just passing on what i’ve heard tho
Brady told the Chron after the game Mbete and Fosu just have minor knocks and Eaves should be back for the next game.

I think we need an injury list pulled together. From the top of my head…
Maglorie Willis Fox Mbete Fosu Eaves Dias Lintott
Returning:
Sowerby Brough
Due to return for the next game:
Eaves Fosu Mbete
As far as I'm aware maglorie isn't injured just not being picked

In all seriousness, you have to ask just how injured these players are? In Sunday football in my day if you "felt your ankle" it would be laughed off. "Yeah run it off son" The physio department at Pattishall Rangers was a bucket of cold water and a sponge! Now i know we are talking about players' careers and livelihoods. But come on lads WE (or those that go more regularly than me) pay your wages now get out there and perform. I realise this post will get shouted down, but have a think about it for a minute. Danny Hylton last season, did he really fancy it? Easy to feign injury when the threshold is "felt a tweak boss" isn't it?

Agree to a certain extent. Top of the league and playing well and the injury isnt as bad. Bottom of the league and risk being relegated and it could be a career ending injury. Hopefully the squad Brady has built has more respect for him and the rest of the players though.

There's a slight difference to Barry playing Sunday level football at 70% fitness to a full time pro at League One level playing at 70% fitness

I don’t think it’s been confirmed either way, unless I’ve missed something?

Ah, that will be either a gluteal or thigh abductor strain then.

I read a study that said on average a player gets injured every 1.7 games in the EFL, typically 82 injuries per season per club. So on that basis they will (if we had a game). Here it is. https://bjsm.bmj.com/content/55/Suppl_1/A158.1

Don’t be coming on here blinding us with referenced research on a relevant subject.

I noted that they said the frequency of injuries during matches was double that observed during training.

If anybody else picks up a knock, in the next two weeks, when as you correctly point out that we do not have a game, then questions really should be asked about the training regime employed.

Adam has apparently moved on from doing the Medical’s to now taking the training.

Mbete and Fosu - "This weekend maybe too soon for them, time will tell on that but we are hoping to have them both back as soon as possible and they are not far away." Any news about Tom Eaves I have missed?

In Chris Hargreaves' book he says some players wouldn't play even with the slightest "imagined" strain. Others, including him, just strapped themselves up a bit of spray and on they went!
