Ah sometimes this forum shines Evers, no agenda, just because someone doesn’t think the same as doesn’t mean it’s an agenda. You might (imo) be missing the point! That point is that Forum members all have their opinions and as hard as it is I have to simply put up with just a few(thankfully) of them. However I have at my disposal the right of reply to the more unpalatable or abusive type of comment! Its a form of democracy! You perhaps fail to appreciate the difference between an opinion versus an agenda which by default falls on an oft repeated opinion; against Club, Management or even a Player! By virtue of that Agenda it often comes across as a negative stance! Still all good fun!

Wasn't sure where to put this but I thought the Cobblers Show on Thursday with Marc Richards was really interesting. Would highly recommend everyone listens to it for a small peek behind the curtain. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0k2dv7sVery open and honest dicussion about lots of things including the injuries and the way they work when bringing players back in to the team after injury. Lots of other matters discussed though that I think any fan will find very interesting. Was already a fan of Rico but even more so now.

For those who endlessly repeat the same request/opinion by default may fall into this category; its an slack expedient to label anybody who repeats (continuously) negative remarks. In my younger days in Procurement the Manager used to list the meeting agenda accompanied by date and time; so inducing pressure! He was not a popular man!

A question to the 'hindsight' experts.
Where are your posts criticising the signings of:
Magloire Guinness-Walker Mbete Baldwin Brough Sowerby Fox Fosu Roberts Eaves
or are you only an expert AFTER they get injured?

TBF, I was somewhat critical of Brady offering a contract to McWilliams, Fox, Burge and Willis in the summer due to their fitness records. I do think Fox and Willis are quality players though so can see the attraction in doing so.

This isn’t hindsight, it’s FACT. Brough and Fox aren’t L one standard.

How many of those playing aren't 100% and are the 'least injured' in the squad in their approximate positions? Maybe that's why they break down almost immediately they start playing again?

Callum Morton was on the Welly Rd this afternoon, on crutches but no evidence of a cast or supportive boot either.

Friday afternoon boozing. It's great when you are on the sick. Allegedly.

I was just flicking through Frank Grande’s excellent ‘The Definitive Northampton Town F.C.’ (as you do!)
Looking at the 1986/7 season I was staggered by the lack of injuries, rotation, resting, suspensions etc that we are blighted by today.
The same 11 were used for the first 9 matches and only one change for the next 4. Of course there weren’t a bench full of substitutes to lighten the load either.
3 ever presents (Gleasure, McPherson & Benjamin) 2 only missed 1 match (Gilbert & Hill) 11 players in total played over 35 league games. Only 9 others played a few games between them.
The only notable injuries were to Bob Coy and Trevor Morley.
