Agree with the above points and whilst the Trust are many things financial dishonesty or indeed financial personal gain are two characteristics I would never label them with. In the short medium term particularly as they are a legal entity it makes absolute sense they hold any fan produced monies - however in the fullness of time if that becomes their only function it will need revisiting
I think people might perhaps benefit from viewing this conundrum around Trusts generally. Assume the regulator and legislation are spectacularly successful in ensuring clubs are run properly and supporter interests are protected. Will people be motivated to put in all that voluntary work to run a Trust? If the FABs serve the purpose intended would supporters bother to engage with a Trust? On the other hand what if it turns out the regulator and legislation are deemed so draconian, people are put off from being involved in football ownership. Who operates a club then, do the Trusts then become a relevant entity? What if the legislation is cumbersome when put into practice, redrafted and the regulator becomes ineffective as a result? The Trusts themselves are meeting to discuss their function in all of this. With so much uncertainty I think there is still a place for Trusts, with a few caveats.

Let me make one thing absolutely clear, the Trust “advisor” is not god. Are you going to tell him or shall I?

Just to make everybody aware, Particularly, Tom Cliffe, The supporters representative on the FAB can join the FSA to represent the supporters of NTFC, this is not just a reserve of NTFC Supporters Trust. Personally it's something I would like Tom to consider.

Does that fact that he is also named as a Director of the club not counter this? Easy fix though.

Should be an advantage not disadvantage. As long he engages the fan base in an effective way and is seen to engage with all supporters.

Basically, the exact opposite of what the current trust board have been doing for several years then

I've exchanged emails with the FSA to confirm and they have stated that is basic outline of what is needed. In my eyes Tom fits the bill better than the current Trust.

I think a recently stepped in cow-pat fits the bill better than the current Trust.
