Can anyone think of any other examples where fans have been excited by a trialist and we've signed him?

Asamoah. Remember seeing him in a pre season game trying to meg and run Marcel Desailly and thought we should sign him for that alone.

I may have just imagined all that.

At 23 I'd imagine he'd have only joined us on the premise he'll get plenty of first team minutes. Needs to be getting regular minutes now if he wants to make it as a professional.

If he's quick then he offers something that no-one else in the team does. I'm tentatively excited about this signing - think it could turn out to be a massive coup.

Was he injured at the weekend or just doing a 'Sterling'?
There was a lot of excitement about his couple of touches against Norwich.

I was just about to ask the same, havent seen any mention. Odd I would have said he was first choice out of Koiki Brough McCarron maybe not ahead of Mbete.
But Mbete came as another centre back didn't he?

I said when we signed Liam he was a project and wasn't a fist choice. The club also see him more attacking then a left back
